Here's the pictures I'm going to order. :)

He was really good out in the big world and I didn't fall down in the jog! LOL

I'm planning to take him to a few more shows, it was a great experience for him. :)

He is very nice !

What is his breeding?

He is registered Oldenburg NA.

He's by Sempatico out of a BWP mare.

He'll be 2 in June and is about 16.2 hands (I'm 6ft tall to put it in perspective).

LOL, I was looking at that first pic, thinking "I thought he was a big guy?" but your height explains a lot! Very shiny horse, now of course we need to talk braids... :D

(of course it helps if you braid your own, braiders don't exactly line up to braid first time out HB babies for darn good reason!)

I know!!! The braiding thing is going to be a pain in the ass. I can barely get him to let me pull it yet alone braid it. We're practicing though. I'm not sure he's going to go to any USEF shows though, he's not the little type-y Hunter type those judges are looking for, but it would be good experience for him. Maybe next year?

I think this picture shows his size well. He seemed HUGE to me when I had to jog him. LOL

TR--he is absolutely gorgeous, but I'm sure you've heard that before;). Work on those braids! They finish the picture, but kudos on a lovely bathing job. I have vowed never to own a gray or paint/pinto -ever.

My only suggestion--black pants maybe? My eye went right to your purple slacks, and the focus should never be on the handler.

You look fantastic, and knowing you are 6' tall really puts your horse's height in perspective!!

lovely he looks great, and massive he would tower over me with me being only 5'4. I think my boy at 15.3 is huge at times

OMG, my pants, I was thinking they were Navy, but then when I got home MR TR was all, those pants are PURPLE! Ooops.

Oh, and this colt takes great pride in him coat. He doesn't ever get dirty. Thank goodness.

I had one like that. He outgrew it. So sad...

Very nice!! I'm sure the experience will help him in the future.

Regarding attire...I've never seen a HB show before. Is it trendy to try to blend into the horse, like dog handlers do? Like, with this guy, wouldn't a brown outfit be suitable? I show a bi-black Sheltie in Obedience and Agility. I wear black pants/sneakers and either white or black top. Just wondering! One day I WILL breed my mare so I need to learn these things!

He looks absolutely sparkling TR! Gorgeous! Glad he exhibited his 'big boy manners' for your class. You must be very proud. I wouldn't really sweat the braiding thing - it was his first 'show' experience, and making it as stress-free as possible (for both you and him) should be the main focus. Accepting being braided will come in time.

He is very nice but I agree - you must braid for Hunter Breeding.

What a handsome boy! He looks all hunter in the first picture. Good Lord girl, what are you people (and horses!) eating over there in Ohio? You are all so tall (and good looking, of course). Everyone in my family, horse included, is short. Must be a Michigan thing. We must be stunted due to lack of culture.

What a handsome boy! He looks all hunter in the first picture.

This is exactly what I was thinking!

No wonder you've been talking "hunter talk" lately! Wow, he looks so gorgeous in the pictures....boy is he growing up nicely. I may have to have you pick out my next baby! How old is he now?

Don't tell Aero, but I may have a new favorite out of your herd :D (you know, for my secret wish to have something in the hunter ring!)

He'll be 2 in June. He and Dodger have me all in the hunter mind set. Funny where life will take you sometimes. I think Ollie will have the attitude and heart for the big jumpers... or so I hope. You want me to pick out a baby for you? How about you pick out a nice mare (Socks) and we'll send a little fresh sumptn sumptn compliments of Ollie and see what we get? ;-) I've been considering breeding Hope to him. Collecting for 2 would be as easy as collecting for 1.

I wont tell him. He's the sensitive type. :)
At least one of them wants to be a jumper!
