Any experience for the type of horse this is best used on? Also are they legal for stadium and x-country. I have a gelding who can be dull and sensitive all at the same time. His way of evading the bit by throwing his head up and blowing through your hand. Was thinking of trying the Lever Noseband with just a single jointed snaffle.

Sorry no one has posted before.

I have used a lever noseband for many years (since 2000?) on a horse that could otherwise be termed "runaway". It worked well on my strong horse who crossed his jaw to evade listening to me while jumping.

It also works great for that "little extra" for a bit instead of adding a harsher bit to the equation. You could definitely use it with a snaffle, as do a lot of riders.

Just make sure you place it in the right spot on the nose because it could interfere with their breathing. Other than that, I love the lever noseband and would use it again if I need it, on my new horse.
