At least one other competitor also showed in a helmet.
I was disappointed at how many h/j riders were still schooling in a ball cap as well.

I like the look of the helmet. I think she is quite "sporting" in appearance. Top hats are lovely, but to me it's like a bull rider with a cowboy hat, wear it when you're OFF the bull/horse.
Congratulations to Jacqueline Brooks!!!!!

Kudos to her! I had the chance to meet her and her lovely mom at the World Cup in Vegas in 2007 *i think it was 2007 - the years are passing me by*. She was so lovely and so nice, and her mom was so proud of her. So happy to see her success!

We need a 'happy dance' icon. As the mom of an aspiring upper level rider who is required to wear a helmet at all times but 'wasn't sure you could even wear one instead of a top hat once you reached that level' a big thanks to Jacqueline for being such a wonderful role model.
