Does anyone have the tredstep half chaps? I love the Ariat classic chaps, and was hoping they carried those, but no luck. If you have them, do you like them, etc?
How long is this sale?

Make sure if you order something from this place that you order EXACTLY what you want. It's been five weeks and I still am having problems getting an exchange done. Took three weeks to get my order only to have to exchange something and I'm getting a little irritated to say the least ( I make daily phone calls too and nothing seems to be working - package keeps getting lost somehow). Maybe because of the huge sale that i'm having so many problems - seems like they are really busy. Good luck!!

That was much too easy. Be very afraid. http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/uhoh.gif

I think the Tredsteps fit soooo much better than the Ariats. At $60 some for them with the sale, you can't go wrong-- they are usually around $110!

Which type tredstep do you have? The strechy ones (the zipper looks like it would be uncomfortable), or the all leather?
Also, the zip up boots, I need a new pair so any reviews of tredstep boots?

Are the "regular" Tredstep half chaps made out of suede? (Not talking about the stretch leather ones)

I have the stretchy ones with the zippers (the suede ones) - I didn't/don't find the zipper uncomfortable at all. I had to get them re-stitched once in the last 4 or 5 years, which I think was pretty good considering I was riding quite a bit.

I saw they have the fleeceworks half pads on sale, but they list them in two sizes. Anyone know the measurements or what size fits a Bates CC?

Jan. 23, 2005, 03:37 PM
I don't know which one woudl fit a Bates better, but I found this on a different website:
RG-Size Regular generally fits saddles sizes 16.5"-17.5" with modified forward flaps. Example: Barnsby 16.5, 17, 17.5, Bates 17.5, Beval 17.5, Bruno Delgrange/PJ 17, Crosby Centennial 17, 17.5, Harry Daubs 17, Pessoa 17.5.
SM-Size Small generally fits saddle sizes 16", 17.6". Example: Barnsby 16, Bates 16.5, 17, Beval 16.5, 17, Bruno Delgrange 16.5, 17, Collegiate 17, 17.5, Harry Daubs 16.5, Henry De Rivel 17, Pessoa 16.5, 17.

Just called them - wonderful gentleman helped me. I ordered both the CO Hampton and the GR8. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif (Both helmets combined cost me less than my daughters GPA a couple of years ago!)
I need to get her a new helmet as well. Her hair is SO thick, we've been kind of cheating using the same GPA for home (no hair up) and showing (hair up). She needs a different one for showing. Maybe one of these will work...

If you do hit a snag with an order, all I can say is be persistent. It's been my experience that they aren't the best about following up. Always very nice to deal with, but not the best follow-up. That's a great sale. I'm sure I will think of something I need right after it is over . . .

Just talked with ABA and they said that they do not think the Edgewood fleece girths run small. Plus, they are doble elastic, so much more likely to stretch a bit more than a single sided elastic girth. I've never owned one, so I can't say from experience, but that is just what they told me.
RodeoHunter
Jan. 24, 2005, 03:14 PM
Crap! I forgot to go up a size with my fuzzy girth but I figured that since both sides were elastic and the fleece would squoosh down a bit it would be okay?? Should I call and get a bigger size?

My Beval girth has elastic on both sides but I still had to go up two sizes. I only use it for shows so it doesn't stretch as much as it would if I used it everytime I ride.

Can anyone tell me about the sizing on the RJ Classic Show coats, my daughter's last coat(doesn't fit anymore-was a Top Call sz. 2-Ladies)it still fits in the arm length, but too tight in Bust, can button but can't breath. My daughter is 5'2" and weights 126, bust size 34C, rather short waisted. Do you think the size 4R would fit, that was the only size other than a 10R in the coat I wanted to get her.
Thanks

Sophia's mom - I wear a 4T or 6T in the RJ coats. I am 5'10", weigh about 135, and have a 34 bust. The 6 is a little roomy in the waist but fits well in the shoulders, while the 4 is just a bit snug in the shoulders but fits well everywhere else. I'd say the 4 should fit your daughter, but it might be a little big depending on her shoulder size...

It took three yes three weeks for my order to arrive... and then I had to exchange it as it was too small (it's the size I normally order but apparently this brand - Charles Owen runs small) so now it's been a little over five weeks and I'm still waiting for my exchange to arrive (and I've been calling just about daily to find out what's going on). The tracking #'s I get are either wrong or show that the package has never left the store. So once again, I have to make yet another call. Hopefully no one else is having such a miserable time receiving their merchandise!! (I do know I will never order from this place again :-)

To those having trouble getting their packages, the problem may lie with UPS Ground. I had unbelievable trouble with FedEx Ground... because they charge less, they often drive around all over hell's half acre till they have a full truck and actually start heading to where you are to drop off your package. Mine took almost a month to get across the country, even though the person I purchased from dropped it off promptly. They had no record of where my package was for about a week. When I called to complain about this, and the fact that my saddle had been left on my front porch with no signature, their answer was pretty much "that's business as usual".

I ended up going for the regular 54" ones myself... I thought about the child ones, but wanted the 7/8" rather than 3/4" width. Also, I thought the 48" would be borderline for me to still be able to tuck them through the keeper on the flap (at least when I drop 'em to flatting length). I'm only 5'3", and I usually tuck the extra leather back under the saddle flap. I think I'll bite the bullet on these new ones and actually cut them to the right size though.

Well, add this to the mix.
As previously mentioned, I ordered a Walsh combination halter, three baby pads and a professional's choice girth.
Received an email confirming the order, received a second email from USPS that A Bit Above had contacted them letting them know the package was packed and ready to be picked up for shipping.
Two days later, received a tracking number from UPS (not USPS) and an email from the shop telling me that the halter I ordered was out of stock, that they could not get another in, and that my "pad" (not "pads", as I ordered three) and girth had been shipped.
While I am not being charged for the halter, I'm a little annoyed that I wasn't contacted to see if I'd like to replace it (say with another Walsh halter) before the package was shipped. Assuming all was fine, I purchased the matching lead while I was at a conference (70 miles from home) yesterday.
Now I need to follow up my email with a call requesting a replacement halter. Not feeling terribly compelled to cough up the $$$ for shipping on a separate package, either.

Not trying to rile anyone up or step on toes, but I think some perspective is in order here. I mean a sale of this magnitude on all items is rather unprecedented, so there are tons of folks ordering stuff, I’m sure. Not to mention the fact that knowledge of this sale was circulated on at least two different BBs. Sooo, when I placed an order, I expected it to take forever to get here (especially since I foolishly waited to order until after the sale had gone on for several days…sigh). I’m not saying gripes about calling three times and things still being mixed up aren’t in order, I’m just saying I’d keep it all in perspective. There is no way they have the staff or experience to handle the volume of inventory they are currently trying to move. Chances are pretty good, that if this were to develop into an annual event (wouldn’t that be awesome!!!), they would be even better the next time around.
Now, give me a couple more weeks and my perspective may change…

I think the Tredsteps fit soooo much better than the Ariats. At $60 some for them with the sale, you can't go wrong-- they are usually around $110!

Tredsteps are now $129 I think. They're great though, I like them so much better than any of the cheaper ones I have worn.

For those who have received their order -- did you get a tracking number e-mailed to you before that? I've gotten a couple of e-mail responses to my "where's my stuff?" messages that said it is ready to ship, shipped, on its way, etc., but never a tracking number -- does that mean it hasn't really shipped?

I had a great experience...
Ordered stuff last Tuesday, it was at my house on Friday. I never received an e-mail confirmation of the tracking #, so I called the store for it. The guy was very nice! He gave me the (correct) tracking info and said that he all of a sudden got swamped with so many orders, he had to call in his MOTHER to help out! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I told him that the link to his incredible sale was posted on a message board, and he said this sale was the best thing he has ever done for this shop! To the original poster, you should let him know it was your good deed posting thi link! He was very thakful to the person who spread the word! There may be other sales this good due to sharing that link to this shop!!! Thank you, thank you!!!
I would say give it a few extra days to receive the stuff, they are swamped!

With all the negative responses on this thread I was really expecting the worst. I ordered a RJ Coat last Tuesday. When I phoned to place the order a very polite man went above and beyond to help me decide what the color of the Jacket I was ordering really was, he went and actually got the jacket and described it to me. Making a long story short the coat was on my screened in porch yesterday, wrapped very professionally inside the box, no wrinkles and that man really did a wonderful job of describing the color to me, it was exactly as he described it, I might add it is beautiful and could not fit my hard to fit daughter better if I'd had it tailor made. Needless to say I will order again and was very happy with the service I received.

My experience with them has been that if they have it in stock, you are fine, but if it has to be ordered it is hit or miss as to whether it comes in a timely fashion. ryansgirl, I had the same experience calling and calling and calling about my order - it took forever but did eventually come in. It was just very frustrating in the meantime.

I ordered mine on a Wednesday and got it that Friday (without any confirmation e-mail). When it came the pad was wrong, 3 items were missing, and the Tailors had torn stitching on the knee. I had been given a 31% discount instead of 39% on one of the items. I called and they could not have been nicer. They said they would ship the forgotten/replacement items and when I received them I could ship back the wrong ones, and they would correct the wrong price. I'm not thrilled about the hastle/cost of shipping the stuff back, but to save $85 on 4-way Tailors is worth it. I am anxious to see how long it takes to get the replacements in.

I emailed to ask to change a size on a girth (still haven't got the order in the first place) and was told that they are waiting on Edgewood, Fleeceworks, and Charles Owen (all my items are edgewood and fleeceworks)to ship in. They oversold on their "stock" (sale was on stock only), but instead of turning around and telling people they are out and no sale, they were kind enough to put in orders to the companies and get the stuff for us anyway. Depending on how backed up the companies are, you could look at a month wait just for ABA to get the stock to ship out to us. Be patient if you ordered any items from these lines.

I have to say, I'm pretty frustrated with their lack of communication. I placed my order on the 23rd. I called on the 31st to get a status update as they hadn't sent me any emails. Found out then that a few things I ordered were out of stock (fine). The guy told me order would ship that day.
I called again on Monday the 7th as I still hadn't received anything. I was assured that order had gone out but not until the 4th. Then I was told order would be here by the 8th or 9th.
No order received as of yet, I still don't know the tracking # & I haven't gotten any more info.
I don't mind waiting but they really need to be up-front with people. Had I known it would take 3 weeks, I would have bought the stuff I needed (new girth specifically) locally.

I would not mind waiting (for backordered items), but if the item (ONE thing!) I ordered was not available to ship, they never should have charged my credit card. The charge was on 1/22 -- since that time, I have only gotten vague replies to my e-mail inquiries. My latest e-mails have either bounced (mailbox full) or gone unanswered.
I can only assume that my item is one of those that they are waiting on -- and really, for all I know, my item could have shipped and been lost in transit (although I doubt that).
Near that same time, I had placed an order with another online store. Item was not available, but they let me know it was backordered, did NOT charge my card until they had the item in hand, charged me this week, and shipped. And let me know what was happening! THAT is the way it should work!

It might be prudent for those of you who have yet to receive your items after a couple of weeks, and who have yet to receive any one-on-one communication with a decent excuse, to contact your credit card companies.
Let's say hypothetically that this was a sort of "going out of business" sale. And now, it may be difficult for certain back orders to be filled.
Looking into my crystal ball, I'd advise that you shouldn't hold your breath waiting for your orders to arrive. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I used to work for a store that had a problem like this. The best way for customers to get their things was to pay extra to have them overnighted. That way they would be SURE that they would either A: get their stuff the next day OR B: they wouldn't have to pay shipping.
If you're thinking of ordering, it might be worth it to think about this option.

Well, I spoke to Alan yesterday.
Was told the following, the my card was automatiocally charged when I placed the order (fine). The the GR8 was out of stock in the size I ordered, so they ordered more. When I asked why I wasn't contacted, or the charge removed from my credit card he had no response. Told me my order shipped last Friday. I asked for a tracking number. The number he gave me is not valid according to UPS. I also told him I was very unhappy with the service and lack of communication, including not returning my numerous phone calls and emails. I told him that the letters to the Better Business Bureau and the credit card company are typed and ready to mail. Now I cannot get anything but the "new" voice mail to try and get the correct tracking number. I will wait until the end of the week. If nothing is here, the letters go off. What really makes me mad is that the half chaps I wanted were is stock, according to Alan, but they did not send them. The one thing I really wanted. GRRRR

Good news - at least for me. I ordered on Feb. 1st, received a confirming email the same day and my cc was also charged on that date. Yesterday, Feb. 15th I sent an email inquiring as to the status of my order. Received a prompt response back with UPS tracking number and saying it had shipped last week. When I tracked the shipment on UPS' website it showed delivery was expected on Feb. 15th. Package was already there when I got home from work, everything exactly as ordered, I'm very happy.
I think these people were just overwhelmed with the response to their sale and not prepared for such a huge quantity of orders. Personally I would rather wait this way than stand on line at Bevals for 2 hours just to pay!

I too received a timely email reply - saying my orders had shipped and that I should receive by Monday. I emailed back, saying that UPS Ground from GA should only be 2 days, so that I would expect the packages before the end of the week. They replied with a tracking number, which I will check on, prior to calling my credit card company back. Actually, I might wait until I actually RECEIVE the products to make sure all is right....

I got mine last night. Girth was one size larger than I ordered, I don't need the halter any more (which they originally told me was oversold) & two things weren't in the package at all (including stirrup leathers that I really wanted). However, they adjusted my credit card for the correct amount so I'm not going to bother returning anything.
Never again is all I have to say.

Actually the use of the plural (these) is not exactly correct. All the people who used to work at the store were laid off or left, I believe. It's just Alan as far as I know.
And kudos to anyone who gets a good deal, but definitely be aware of what your rights (and responsibilities!) are when disputing charges on a credit card.

Im definately not too thrilled with them, I called long distance, yes toronto area (Ontario) to GA, to try and speak with an associate, or leave a message, nope, cant do either, their mail box is full. Not only their voicemail though, their email aswell, so in other words, I cant get in touch with them at all. I wont order from them again. They're not reliable.
I emailed last week for a tracking number, they sent me an reply saying "I will look for it then email you later" That was Saturday? No offence but coming from a household with a family run business, you dont just not reply, especially after saying you will.

I just got my cell phone bill and for kicks decided to see how many calls I made to "A Bit Above" in this one period. Well it was 17 times - yup 17 and that doesn't count the times I called from work - so you can double that number. But that was only for one month - for me this has been going on for over two months now and I made plenty of calls that first month - not to mention all the emails!! Oh and no one has ever emailed me or called me back. Now that's customer service at it's best http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif!! The only good thing is that I never returned the product I'm exchanging - he told me to ship back the one I already received as soon as I receive the new one. Gut feeling told me to hold onto it until I received my replacement - sure am glad I did!! Of course it is on the small side and is a little too tight on my head http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/sigh.gif I'm going to have to check the Better Business Bureau website again to see if they have anything on this place (I originally looked up the BBB back in December becuz I was having such issues getting my original package but didn't find anything at the time). Sorry to hear you're having a bad time of it... I discovered they had sent the wrong stirrup leathers, and within an hour of my sending an email, he apologized and offered to exchange them or refund me the price difference. Didn't they run out of a certain kind of helmet and have them on back order? Was it the GR8s? Can't remember... but that might account for the wait you've had?

But... I tried for well over an hour today (I just kept hitting the redial at work) to get someone ANYONE there to answer my call. I sent an email and nothing.... if something does not happen soon.. I am wondering if all of us should submit a fraud report to the GA State Attorney General.... even if he is backed up.. you would think there would be slightly more communication and he would not still be taking orders with a new sale off of his website.

I would urge everyone who has not started disputing charges with their credit card company do so ASAP. Alan was the sole worker in the store prior to his arrest, and somehow I don't think anyone is there today to help send out remaining orders. In any event, I doubt vendors are (or have been!) shipping anything to the store (what with that "theft by taking" charge, which sounds an awful lot like ordering something and not ever paying for it... like tack store supplies or something...)
As for the sale, I suspect there was a fine and/or restitution involved with the original charges. Thus the need for some cash raising opportunities.

Crazy crazy! I knew that they would have a hard time competing with Atlanta Saddlery. Also ABA was a very SMALL store, not much to choose from. So im guessing with that sale that he just got orders in , and placed his orders online, that could be why it took so long! We had ordered an Edgewood bridle from them , Fancy raised stiching. Well it took like 4 months and it was getting rediculous! He finally called and said that it was in. It wasn't the raised kind or with stiching... He just tried to pass it off as the one we ordered. There is a link for "comments" on the booking page for inmates. I have no idea what this does, but somehow I think the prosecuters do get an opportunity to see the comments...
If you google GA Corporate Registrations you can find the information for the owner of the store, then google Fulton County Inmates and you can access the inmate profile. That is where I saw a link for comments.

Those of you who didn't get your orders filled shouldn't have any problems with your credit card companies though, thats one of the benefits of buying by CC. And in the future, always contact your CC about merchandise that has been charged to your account but not received, just so you're on record about it. Many companies charge your credit card as soon as you place the order, others wait until the item has actually shipped. I always wait until the merchandise is in my possession before paying those charges, as long as you have notified your credit card company no interest charges will accrue.

I noticed that the return policy appears to have been changed...when I placed my order, there were no restrictions on returns of unused merchandise (I double checked b/c I was unsure of the size I needed). Now, the site says there will be no returns on sale items. But I guess it probably wouldn't be possible to do returns now anyway.... Check with you bank or credit union before EVER using a debit card...some offer the standard cc protections thru Visa and MC but others do NOT and you are SOL.
The cc companies are very good about going after deadbeats like this one and have the deep pockets to see it thru.
I am a bit surprised at some of the posts after his arrest, I'm not sure all understand what was going on.
This guy apparently sold items and billed the cc but never shipped them. Also sounds like he witheld his employees taxes but never sent the money to the IRS. This happened to a family member once and I feel very sorry for his former employees-they have to pay that same money out of their own pockets even if it was ALREADY WITHELD.
Any former employees need to contact their accountants and/or the IRS NOW to find out. They could be happily waiting for a refund when, in fact, they owe the WHOLE amount. Unless the IRS gets the money, it has NOT been paid and the employer just stuck it in his pockets.
Now, maybe this guy was just stupid and got in over his head or maybe he was a con man-they are always the nice ones http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Either way, you all get stuck with the bill for his actions.
Just heed that old warning about things that sound too good to be true.
And watch the cc statements for additional charges you didn't authorize...once some of these folks have your cc# they can do bad things with it.

I didn't have a shipper ID, but called the 800# from the tracking website, and waited till I got an option to speak with someone. Told the women that there was a fraud issue and I wanted to try and confirm that the package wasn't on its way before I filled with my cc Company, I had a friends tracking number, The UPS Customer service person looked up the shipper ID from that but didn't give it to me. My best guess, Kelpie, is that if it was in stock, it was sent, and that perhaps there was a cash flow problem on ordering items from vendors to fill orders for out of stock items.
Limited Edition, tell your mom to check her CC statement and dispute the charges - if the item shows up you can always cancel the dispute, or it would be resolved in the store's favor anyway. Disputing it just protects you.

Limited Edition, you (or your mother most likely) can view your credit card statement on line and see what transactions/credits have been posted to your account - most cc companies update this info several times a day I believe or at least daily. So you can tell if your account was charged well in advance of actually receiving your bill.

cobee-- would it be possible to obtain the tracking number from you so that I could call UPS and do the same thing? I tried calling and telling them the situation, but without a single tracking number they can't do anything. A tracking number won't allow me to do anything "bad" to your friend, so there should be no worries about sharing that kind of information, not quite like a credit card statement or anything http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. PM if that is okay. I e-mailed on Monday and was told to expect the box by Thursday-Monday, and would like to see if mine ever shipped.

Cobee, whenever I have lost my debit card I just walk right into the bank, go to the customer service rep and they issue one while you're waiting. Its a temporary one that can be used immediately, your permanent debit card arrives in the mail within 7-10 days. Maybe you should call them back and see if you can go there in person. Might be good to have an extra credit card too.

Does anyone have a tracking number for a package in transit?... I tried UPS again and they won't give me the shipper ID.

Well, I just received the second order I placed, which included the International helmet and a Fleeceworks pad. I guess I won't be getting the two Charles Owen helmets. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
Hmmm - just opened the International box - thought I'd ordered the vented one... Oh well..

Sorry to here about the bad luck with this tack shop, but I'm sure glad I didn't order anything from them. I was going to get a edgewood girth, bridle, and noseband.

I recieved my 'order' of 1/17, a couple of weeks ago; after one follow-up phone call. During that phone call, I spoke again with Alan; I was told that my package had not shipped yet. So I added another item to that order. What I recieved was the first three items, not the forth. LUCKY, for me my bankcard has NOT been charged for the missing item (just got off the phone with the bank)! The wierd thing is that I called this week and spoke with Alan about the TS breeches...
Though, I do not know exactly what happened, other than what my experience was and from reading this thread.

I worked for a company (about 50 emplyees) that, it turned out, had been withholding taxes from our paychecks, but nor sending the money to the IRS, for several years.
However, the IRS treated all the employees on the basis that the taxes that had been with-held from our paychecks (and show as such on the W-2) were credited to our tax bill, even if the IRS had not received the money.
This was in the mid 90s, so things might have changed since then, but I doubt it.
I don't know what was different for your relative- were the with-held taxes propery reported on the employee's W2s?

drat it. So I guess I need to file a dispute. I actually did get my first item, but then decided to change it for a different color. Of course, that new item has yet to arrive. It's been almost 2 weeks now. Is it too soon to file a dispute? I just know that the longer you leave it, the more difficult it is to get money back. However, it may be that the item did ship and will come in tomorrow. Keep dreaming ...How annoying

The helmet that was shipped wasn't even on the website, that I could see. Instead of the International ATH, I received the IRH.

Bank of America rocks!
I just called and gave them the date of the transaction and amount, and I'll have the money in my account tonight. If by some miracle the helmet does arrive the claim will be canceled.

Do NOT get sucked into feeling sorry for this guy.
The family member I spoke of was the perp in this case...related by marriage not blood-nobody blood related is that arrogant and stupid.
He wrecked his car and paid for a new one with his employee's witholding intending to pay it back but ran out of money before the year was up and DID IT AGAIN.
This tack store owner was already indicted when he started the "fire sale" and already in trouble with the cc companies for not shipping.
OOOOPS New Survivor on...bye bye.

UPS will not help out even with a tracking number. They say that you need to have the actual tracking number of your order. I think Cobee just got lucky when she called the first time.
If he was indeed taken in yesterday (Wed), the absolute longest it can take for UPS package to reach a destination is 4 business days. If you don't have anything by Monday, you pretty much aren't ever going to see anything.

Call your CC company NOW if you have anything on order.
As a business owner who is now jumping through hoops getting authorized to accept cc's, this pi**es me off.
Please understand that the protection offered by those cc comanies comes at a price ranging from 3 to 5% of EACH transaction which any merchant simply tacks on the price.
Actions of crooks like this one help keep your costs high...and make you thankful you have an advocate in that cc company when something like this happens.

I had a conversation with an original employee/business partner in that particular store, one who I implicitly trust in this regard. And it was duly noted that someone - anyone, hypothetically speaking - can give you a false/previously used tracking number in order to palm you off for a few more days.
Now given the sheer number of people who have not received their orders or received AN order, but not what they ordered, I think we can only say that if you wait 4 more days to dispute the charges, you are a most trusting soul. If you wait 5 days you probably deserve whatever pain comes your way. If you dispute first, then resolve as things pan out, you are probably smart. I'm not sure how many other options there are here.

I went in this morning to my bank to fill out all of the paperwork to dispute this charge. Thank goodness they said the money will be deposited back into my account today. I hope everyone who ordered from this idiot is as fortunate as I am http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I also hadn't received my order that was placed on 1.24. When I called the store last week, he told me that it was shipped and that I should receive it by Monday. I just got off of the phone with him (guess he was sprung already ) and he told me that he will ship it overnight to me today and that I will have it on Monday and that he doesn't know why I was told it was already sent. I am not holding my breath and have actually contacted Amex. I had ordered the CO Hampton (in Dove Grey http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif, and Edgewood fleece girth and an Edgewood bridle (fancy stitched an padded http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif).
Pity 'cause I really really wanted that grey helmet!!! http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/yes.gif

What if you paid on a visa check card and not a regular credit card. Can you still dispute the charges?

I hope that if he is "out" right now he will do the right thing and fulfill those orders. yeah....right http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/sigh.gif

According to the Fulton Co website, he was released (showed him in custody when I checked Thursday eve, but Friday morning he's "out").
I filed a dispute with the credit card co and all is okay there. I'll stick to ordering from known (to me) entities in the future I think. I pretty much always use a credit card online rather than my debit/check card for this very reason. SO and I have talked about setting up a specific account just for online purchases (easy to monitor and cancel if necessary) and after this ordeal with ABA, I think we will do that now.
