Do any of the trak wonderful and knowledgeable people here have any comments on him? What would you expect to see if you saw him two or three times in a pedigree? Thanks!

There is an interesting article about him that can be found at:

If you would like to see an example of a line bred Arogno youngster, please feel free to look on our website under developing horses - Bellissa SR - 2009.

I rode one for about a year back in the 90's. He was out of the Kemmer's Akzent II-Pik As xx mare Anatevka (bless her) and came through the Verden elite auction as a 4yo.
Looked very much his sire and had outstanding walk and canter. He later made it to a successful M/A horse with the student who's parents had bought him. Loved the horse and from all else I've seen by Arogno one can certainly say he stamped his offspring and is a sure bank for typ and rideability.
From his approved sons Ivernel, Polarpunkt and Schwadroneur are clear favorites of mine based on their produce. The other approved sons I think were better sporthorses than producers (which is by no means meant to belittle their credentials.)

Gorgeous foal and dam nls! Kareen, do you think that outstanding walk and canter is pretty typical? How about typical height and bone?

He's the grand dam sire of Grafenstolz, so I'd like to say that he has had an influence on that motherline.

Interesting what you say about those stallion sons. I have the most lovely Ivernel 3yo here that is beautiful, balanced, uphill. It was a super match for my mare, but I see so few Ivernel offspring. and I also really like the Schwadroneur offspring I have come across.

No negative reaction about line-bred Arogno in my mind!

thank you for your kind comments Molly and Password. I hope to have video clips of them up in the near future. The still photos don't truly do them justice.

He had a strong and positive influence in Danish Warmblood breeding. Schwadroneur produced successfully. I imported one of his daughters, Schwadronita, and she has produced amazing foals for her current owner. I would be linclined to want this line in my barn.

Yep, I agree. I am already in love with my mom's BHS Hertug colt. He is an Arogno great grandson through Schwadroneur.

here's a link to an AHS article about Trakehner Use in Hanoverian breeding

First page is a picture of Argono and there's a paragraph about him and his son Karon.
