For some reason my computer is refusing to open pdf files, so I'm hoping someone knows or wouldn't mind looking it up for me.

In USDF Dressage there are (or were) rules about the acceptable diameter of bits. Is there a rule for USEA dressage about the diameter of the snaffle? This is for Training & Prelim.

(And yes I know rules are all USEF rules, just used USDF/USEA for clarity)

Thanks!

pages EV45-EV46 define and illustrate the types of snaffle bits that are permitted. There is no mention of diameter as a limiting factor...

While I would not, I have seen folks ride in bradoon diameter snaffles for what looked like gaited double bridles. Think small than a pencil around... One was so skinny the bit check volunteer called over on radio for help. IT looked like this and the lady went on to show her dressage in it. Way to thin for me but then again not my horse or student.
