Thank you very much for going through all the trouble!!! That was a lot of work!

I'd like to see a few of the stallions under different riders....

Only dressage, sorry. I did not attend the jumping day as that is not my interest. I'll edit the title.

I agree Siegi - Hans Peter and Theo Hanzon can really "squeeze" out the gaits.

Thank you for posting! What did you personally think of Wynton?

CenterlineGirl2
Feb. 28, 2010, 10:18 AM
I like Wynton a lot. He is really gorgeous and I love his canter. His ability to sit is amazing. He looks like fun to ride.

I also love Andretti. I saw him when he was first presented and I liked him right away. I wish his semen was available here.

Zhivago doesn't do it for me. He looks flat and his movement seems to have a downhill tendency - but he is being well ridden and held up. I don't know if that is so apparent in the video but you could see the very careful riding. I don't really understand why he won. His foal report is not very exciting.

Apache and Ziesto were the only two naughty horses at the show. All the other stallions behaved themselves, but these two had to be led into awards ceremonies. Ziesto behaved during his test, but it was apparent that he is a handful. Which is too bad because I really like his movement. When he is good, he looks like tons of fun to ride.
Apache was difficult almost all the time. In between the tension he did show good gaits. There were some other moments that I didn't catch on video, but he had a major backwards gear. His rider did a great job working through the resistance.

I also love United. I love his balance and how easy the work seems to be for him. He should be at GP soon. Edward did some piaffe and passage work outside of his test (maybe during the awards ceremony?) and this horse is very talented. I wish his semen was available here.

Yes, it was quite a bit of work. I did a few clips nearly every night. It took me a little while but it was worth it.

Apache is definitely bay.

Krack C is one of my favorites as well. Its one of the few phenomenal sires that also come with good temperament.
a side note: Do you know of any other pregnancies from Krack C semen in the US?

Excellent videos; thank you!

Apache looked to have lovely gaits (what you could see of them...). Do you think the behavior is coming from UB or Krack C?

Definitely UB40. UB40 himself is a difficult horse, so is his sire Olivi.
Krack C is an easy horse with a good temperament. His offspring are rideable, sometimes a little spooky but generally easy horses.

Hi again CenterlineGirl!
To the best of my knowledge, my Krack C X Silvio 1 Elite Preferent (Sandro)) filly Divine SCF, is the only pregnancy from approx. 100 doses of semen sold that year..... BTW, concerning the temperament of Krack C offspring, Divine is an in your pocket type, that is spook free, and really quiet and people pleasing..... Out of a sensitive, but reasonable mare. Divine is truly the "whole package", which is why I feel so blessed to have her....Considering Jazz for her next year, as it is a well proven "nick" in Europe, and she is quiet enough to hopefully "tone down" the Jazz hotness". Can't wait to see that foal!

Only one pregnancy out of 100 doses sold? Wow, you guys are lucky!
I agree about the temperament - I have a Krack C gelding that is a total sweetheart. He loves attention and is a very "touchy feely" kind of horse. If he could he would sit on the couch with me and cuddle all day.
All the other Krack C's I've met in person (about 10 of them) have also been very sweet.
I read an article that had an interview with a guy who rode Krack C when Krack was young. He said that Krack C was the friendliest horse he's ever met.

I'm still loving these videos! Have just taken delivery of my Wynton semen for my Hotline mare... very exciting!

Also thinking of using Jazz on my Fidertanz mare as she is super laid back.

Interesting blog about frozen semen here:

I will have to go and watch again but the name I remember liking was Voice. I liked many of them!! I'm a sucker for knee action but I felt some of them did not use their hocks quite as well... but that's just being picky! I'd love to have any of them except the naughty ones... I'm over spooking and leaping, thankyouverymuch. Many of them look young; I'd be interested to see the ages of them all.

n2dressage - the ages of Dutch horses are easy to figure out.... All Dutch horses born in the same year have to have a name that starts with a certain letter of the alphabet. So this year is the "F" year, last year was "E", the year before "D", etc. etc.

Thank you for all these videos and all the work that went into taping, uploading, etc.

I've only had a chance to look at a few so far (I'd been wanting, for different reasons, to seem more on Wynton, Zambuka and Vivaldi, so they were my first look)but the quality of the videos is really super, too. Thank you again.

Hey that IS handy! Why does every breed have to have such different naming rules...? Do they skip "x"? I can't think of any I've seen that start with X but maybe I haven't been paying enough attention. Thanks!!

We have two Olivi offspring at our barn, both 9 years of age.
A gelding, Olivi x Contango, 16 hands and a joy to see him ride with his rider, almost level 4 and winning almost every show.

A mare by Olivi x Aram, which gave birth to 2 fillies and she is a fine dressage horse as well,16.2 hands, level 3 but in year level 4.

A few years ago, everybody said that the Jazz offspring were naughty and spooky.Sometimes it is easy to blame a stallion or say it's a bloodline...
What about the rider???

Just have a look in Holland, how many Jazz offspring are doing really great.

Centrelinegirl thankyou so much for posting these. :)

I loved Ziesto's movement, shame to hear he was naughty. He is the double of his sire Lancet who seemed to have a rock solid temperament when I saw him at the Europeans, same uphill frame, same knee and hock action. I think Lancet has just gone on my list of stallions to use in the future.

Ampere left me feeling disappointed. He looked nice but not as special as I was hoping he'd be. Arlando, the horse who was in the arena with him, had IMO, better movement.

I also liked the Scandic son, Zambuka. He's very uphill with roomy gaits. Doesn't look totally settled in the contact but I thought he looked to be a lovely stallion.
