I'm switching my mare over to regumate oral from the injections ( they were too expensive), and I was wondering, first - who has the cheapest price, second - can you give it in the mare's feed ( once a day/twice a day?) and How much you usually give... The last question I will also check with my vet to see which way she wants to approach it, but any advice would be appreciated.

Valley Vet used to have the best price on Regumate -- maybe Google it? I think about $250 for a liter (1,000 ml) which is about a 100-day supply. I gave my mare 10 ml per day, top-dressed on her feed. I found it to be more effective than the Depo shots, although not as convenient, and I think the effectiveness probably depends on the mare. It comes with a dispenser which I could never get to work correctly, so I would just transfer it to a smaller container and use a syringe to draw out the 10 m, then squirt that onto her feed.

thanks lily - That's about what I thought but wanted to be sure before I ordered. KV had a good price at $239.00 with no shipping fee. better than $150 a month for the Regumate shot. Which is awesome if I could get it for a better price. Actually liked the regumate injectible better than the depo as far as effectiveness. But just too much money right now. Hopefully the oral will work just as well if not better.

I ordered a dispensing "gun" from Smartpak when my mare was on Regumate. Just turn the dial to dispense the correct dosage. Screwed right on top of the bottle. Reduced waste and spillage. Worked great for me and the workers at the barn where I boarded as they didn't worry as much about being in contact with it.

As mentioned, don't come in contact. I was told by the vet you need the THICK gloves for that one. It will absorb through the skin...

mainerinmd, I'm not surprised that you had no problem with the dispenser -- user error on my part, for sure. And, yes, absolutely, you must be careful about handlng the stuff. Although I am way past the age of having anything to worry about. BTW, love your user name, being a massholeinva myself.
