I just wanted to share some good news from this week!
Cabalito is back in the hunter ring after a several year absence :)
He was Champion in the Adult hunters in Tuscon last week with a catch ride by Amy Brubaker (she had never sat on him before). And this week he was Reserve Champion in the Regular Working Hunters with his new trainer Renae Coates, also winning the under saddle. Her plans are to aim him for some upcoming Derby classes in California. I think that the Derbies will be right up his alley- he can jump the moon and is so beautiful going across the ground. He had been in the jumper ring with a Jr. rider for the past 2 years, sustained an injury this past summer, and is now back at 13 years of age looking better than ever! I think that all of us who have been associated with this stallion, are super excited and very proud of him getting back out there, especially as lots of his babies are now hitting the show ring and doing really well. He has one offspring showing in the Junior hunters and one in the Children's hunters also in Tuscon this week, so that makes it even more special!
Lisa Cohen has put up a nice Facebook page for him, with videos from this week and lots of new pictures.
Congrats to Renae and Lisa on doing such a great job with him in such a short amount of time!
