Can you tell me your experiences with his frozen, or of anyone you know.

Also, are his offspring pretty marketable?

Any information on his progeny would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Contucci daughter I want to breed this year. I am looking to improve her hind end conformation and that seems to be Wolkenstein's forte. :)

I was pretty sure I was going with Liberty Gold. I love him, and he has such nice offspring, but I have heard of a few not having the best hind end conformation even if they do use them well. Since this mare doesnt have a great back end, I should go with a stallion who is known to improve. So here I am. :D

Looking again.

Thanks in Advance!!

I have made up my mind and plan to breed to Apiro this year and talked to his owner who emphasizes how much he improves the hind end. I don't know much about Wolkenstein II, but I think Apiro is worth a look see.

I used Wolkenstein II in 2000. The semen was excellent. Many of the Weltmeyer sons improve the hind end. Others to consider are Wolkentanz I and II.

I love Apiro. He is such a handsome stallion. He is more a jumper than a dressage horse though. He certainly moves nicely, but I want more of a mover who can jump ok than a jumper who can move ok.

But thank you for the tip! Ive been looking so long, and Silver Creek has such a nice line up! I am always looking and oogleing, but they are more jumpers than what I am going for. Maybe one day Ill have a jumper mare to use one of their boys on. :D

The semen quality is excellent.

The best horse I ever owned was a Wolkenstein II mare. She won everything with me in the open dressage ring and then went onto clean up in the paraequestrian division with her new young rider. Beautiful and a temperament to die for!
