Well... I'm doing it. I'm moving Gus.
My old BO offered to take him back for essentially what I'm paying now at my future MIL's place. He'll be out 24/7 and fed TWICE a day again (instead of daily like he is now). I'll get access to all the barn facilities (heated indoor arena anyone :eek: :winkgrin:) and a tack locker again (instead of keeping everything in my truck). I will have to pre-baggie all of his meals, but that's not a big deal at all.
I'm SO EXCITED. I was all set to call up some new barns this weekend and in the mist of that I posted on a local Yahoo group asking for barn recommendations. My trainer (aka old BO) asked me last night how thing were going while I was lessoning - and I told her the truth. Well... I got an email this morning with the news.
Anyways. I'm stubborn and at times set in my ways, but thankfully I can get Gus back to a better boarding situation for him. Gringo will remain at the fMIL's place - he loves it there and she loves him. He's flourishing... so he'll stay.
So, thanks again for all the tough comments. I saw the light and I'm heading towards it. And I'm EXCITED.
