Anyone use one of these? I have heard it's one of the quietest vacuums available. I hate the noise as much as my horse does. I tried a horse vacuum that goes over your shoulder, and it was very noisy. Also, it has paper collection bags that get clogged after 1-2 sessions of grooming. Not good. I've used the giant blue electrogroom before, and it was fine, but it was so heavy to lug around. I'm thinking a shop vac, and I read about the Fein Turbo I - its supposed to operate at about 60 decibels, or the level of a conversation. If this is true, it would be GREAT. I think it also has a resusable, washable cloth bag that you empty, or you can get one of those pleated filter cartridges instead. Then you just have to empty the cloth bag, or the bucket depending on which filter you use.

Any personal experiences would be interesting to me. Also, alternative suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Well, if no one actually has one of these, I'd still take votes on your favorite shop-vac! Got a quiet one?

We sold some FEIN products including the vacuum but we never had one on site to try out so I can't guarantee anything BUT, FEIN makes great products and if they say it's quiet...I believe them. They also have a pretty excellent return policy so you might inquire about that. Order, try it out in your home--you don't have to get it all dirty to know whether or not it's quiet.

Good luck.
