Had I stumbled upon Madonna with her hair up in curlers, buying a slurpee from the 7-11, I could not have been more startled.

I helped a friend move her horse to a lovely facility and was walking up and down the shed rows looking at the horses. And there he was. Standing like a king on top of a mountain of shavings, his flymask on a rakish tilt, he looked briefly towards me with a dismissive glance. I wanted his autograph! what a star!
My heart skipped a beat. How embarrassing: I think I let out a squeal. My friend thought I had lost my mind. IT'S HIM- IT'S WILLEM!!!
But she didn't know him, for she rides Western.

Maybe someone should do a "Stalls of the Stars" map (like the Hollywood maps of stars' homes) so everyday people like us can drive by and wave at celebs like Willem? http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Next thing you know, Willem would be in the tabloids!

Willem, did you tell your modder that winter hair doesn't fall out until June when you have Cushing's? My horse had this too, and I thought I would solve the problem by clipping it all off. She did not think this was very glamorous, and told me so by breaking the crossties. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Redneck 101

Learn To Speak Redneck

1. The engine's runnin' but ain't nobody driving = Not overly intelligent.

2. As welcome as a skunk at a lawn party (self-explanatory).

3. Tighter than bark on a tree = Not very generous.

4. Big hat, no cattle = All talk and no action.

5. We've howdied but we ain't shook yet = We've made a brief acquaintance, but not been formally introduced.

6. He thinks the sun come up just to hear him crow = He has a pretty high opinion of himself.

7. She's got tongue enough for ten rows of teeth = That woman can talk.

8. It's so dry the trees are bribin' the dogs = We really could use a little rain around here.

9. Just because a chicken has wings doesn't mean it can fly = Appearances can be deceptive.

10. This ain't my first rodeo = I've been around awhile.

11. He looks like the dog's been keepin' him under the porch = Not the most handsome of men.

12. They ate supper before they said grace = Living in sin.

13. Time to paint your butt white and run with the antelope = Stop arguing and do as you're told.

14. As full of wind as a corn-eating horse = prone to boasting.

15. You can put your boots in the oven, but that doesn't make them biscuits = You can say whatever you want about something, but that doesn't change what it is.

Oh my poor Boss Mare - you obviously never got the who's who of COTH BB memo. How sad. Willem is Coreene's talking horse. He is German and can only post with that um interesting accent. It's a shame that he can't actually post in German, I would be intersted in that. Anywho, Willem is the talking horse of the BB who has spawned other "imitators" such as our dear friend Arielle, who post with their own "accents."

Uh, CGR, what exactly are you trying to accomplish here?

So you don't like talking horse threads. We get it. But what exactly do you propose be done about it?

Should we institute a new BB rule that no talking horse threads are allowed? OK... what about H/J fashion threads? Or which-helmet-should-I-buy threads? I personally think they're more boring than watching paint dry. Because I don't like them, should they not be allowed?

Should every frequent BB topic be put up for a vote of approval to decide if those threads should or shouldn't be permitted? I'd venture a guess that every BBer has topics they can't stand. Should we ALL go post http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif on those threads? Or, as others have suggested, should we maybe just not read the threads we don't like?

Forgive me for being blunt, but I honestly don't see what you're trying to do here, unless it's just poo-stirring... in which case, I guess your mission is accomplished.

For the record, I don't recall any posts expressing negative opinions of any talking horse ever being deleted or edited. In fact, I don't recall moderators ever having to step in on one of these threads before. So I'm not sure where your assertion that negative opinions on these topics aren't allowed comes from. You're expressing your negative opinion right now, aren't you?

However, I fail to see the point in disrupting a thread that other people are enjoying just because you don't like it. Your opinion is duly noted... unless you have some sort of constructive solution to offer about all this, though, I really just don't see what point there is in continuing the mudslinging.

I'm sure some pro-approved helmet posters would definitely argue that the which helmet should I buy topics are extremely beneficial, as they can encourage posters into safety-dom! Well all I did originally was rolleyes emoticon, there was no mudslinging what-so-ever in that. I still, other than possibly with Arielle (who is an e-horse correct?) have not slung mud at anyone, and if anyone has perceived that to be true, my most sincere apologies. Arielle and Willem I will be sure to send many baby gourmet carrots your way so that I can avoid any repurcussions being aimed towards me in your scintilating German and Swedish accents, respectively. I certainly have not had any complaints from the e-horses owners yet, merely the mortals who claim to be their companions.

Now what is your constructive solution - other than to tell me to shut-up??

Clemson, your negative opinions are still up here... so I don't see how you can claim they're not allowed. You had your say, and you're entitled to your opinion.

You're not entitled, however, to continue to disrupt a thread because you don't like it. So the moderators stepped in and asked you, and everyone else, to cut it out and go about your business. Those who like the thread can certainly continue it... those who don't should go find other threads more to their liking.

That seems to me to be a pretty reasonable solution.

We are all just here to have a good time. I haven't been able to practice it too much since graduation but I can fuddle my way through conversational stuff. If you want to use the cyrillic alphabet on BB's like this (I have the language switcher thing downloaded on my computer at home) you can either go to the microsoft home page and download the application that allows you to type and read in russian characters on your PC or you can just go to a translation site and it will pull up the letters for you. Hope that helps!

Willem,
Will yor book haff instructiones a-bout wot to do wenn you haff broken yor modder (you loff her)?
I haff beed naughty und I haff bucked und bucked like die horsjies am "ESPN 2" und meine modder (I loff her) she haff took ein digger.
This it haff beed 3 wochen ago, und she now haff to go to "physical therapee". I don't not to know wot that means, aber she haff said that it haff beed mein fault. Und this it also mean that Frau Trainer-Lady haff beed riding me more, und I don't nott to like that so much, because meine modder (I loff her), wenn she ride me, she be happy with me for less.

Mein question fur you ist, if you haff broken yor modder, how do you fix her, so she rides you more than Frau Trainer-Lady again?

Cicero, you don't nott to can be allowed to do this. Wenn you haff ein issue, I can to tell you wot it be from ex perience that you haff to just say "I be haffink issue now und you haff to get off der zadel."

Mein selve I haff finded that der best thing wenn you haff beed bad like this wot it be wenn you get on your knees und beg forgiveness. Other wise you don't nott to get zo mannie karotten, und this it be wrong.

Der Cicero und Willem,

I neber knowed it be bad to buck, aber I hab been practicing des moves to be ready for when mein Modder she trys to ride me. Aber I guess I neber tought about de conzeguences if I breaks her.

Willem, my good freind Ricochet (she be a bery wise JRT) is writting a book alzo. This it be de "Russell Rule Book". Aber here are some ob de rules:

1) Humans are put on this earth to serve Russells.

2) If you can eat it, I can eat it.

3) Don't touch my treasures if you want to keep your fingers. That includes but is not limited to: Toys, bones, rocks, balls, dead mice, sticks and cookies.

4) It is not neccesary for you to spend time taking care of those grass eating dogs (horses) let them eat grass.

Der be mannie mannie more rules und this will be a bery impotant book for all ob de peoples who are owned by JRTs.

Aber I be tellen Ricochet dat she needs to come on de BB und get de free publicity. I am sure mannie mannie peoples would just loff dat http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I be en SWB filly und I be looken for en boy friend

Maybe Ricochet and Pinchy should collaborate on a book. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
We haven't heard much from her lately.
