I'm entirely too budget-happy right now, and need to know the weight of an 'average' serving of flax. I know the average may vary, so if you could also include the size of measuring tool (i.e., 1/4 cup, full cup, etc.) that would help. I'm trying to determine the approximate cost per month. Don't forget to subtract the weight of the measuring cup, please. :)
TIA!

Can you clarify whether you would like the weight of whole or ground flax? :)

Office Depot or Staples sells, relatively inexpensively, a digital postal weight scale.
Very handy to weigh different foodstuffs for horses.

Horsetech sells ground flax, stabilized (so adds *some* weight, probably negligible) and a 1c by volume scoop holds 2oz by weight. A typical daily dosage is 2-4oz by weight.
Whole flax would be a bit more weight by the same volume.
