Hey guys,
I was posting threads about my holsteiner mare by Liocalyon that we bred to Rex Grannus last year. On March 26th we got a filly with four white socks.
I got my pictures from her Oldenburg inspections and I thought I would share. She is about 4 months old in these pictures. My goal is to start in the hunter ring for her first couple of years of showing to get a good foundation jumping and then switch over to jumpers. Would love to hear thoughts.

Did you have a foal at that inspection? Thank you!!
Thanks everyone! I can't believe she is almost a year old! Now I am in the process of trying to collect ideas about handling her and putting time into her before she is old enough to break. She is super easy going, ties, clips, leads, and bathes without a problem.
We have had issues with her jumping out of pens. When we weaned her at 5 months, she jumped out of the 5 foot pen to get back to mom. This resulted in an offsite weaning---which I think I prefer anyways.
Since then, she has jumped out of her pasture about a month ago when her buddy was taken to the round pen. I am hoping she will accept the idea that friends leave and come back....SOON! :)

Pretty girl!
I never leave a young horse in a paddock alone. Too dangerous. They are just too likely to jump out. I prefer to use a safe enclosed stall to teach them to be alone. Somewhere they cannot get out of or get hurt in. With age and this gradual conditioning, the tendency to jump fences will hopefully fade.
Good luck!

Thank you!! :) Yeah I need to get some pictures of her that are up to date. I think I will post some once she has shedded out, she is a fur ball!
Ladybug- I keep her at a facility about an hour or so away from me and I make it up to see her every week to every other week. I actually heard about this after the fact, but I imagine they will put her in a stall next time they play with her pasture mate.

what do you guys think of her in terms as a jumper prospect. I hope I am not biting off more than I can chew (she is my baby), but I would like to hear some thoughts about her.
