Has anyone used him or seen any of his progeny?

Where is his get? How are they doing, what are they doing, what are they competing at?

He seems very well bred, however I am curious as to how he produces and what he stamps.

Thanks in advance!

Bump: just recently purchased the mare I had intended to breed to Casario II, along with his semen. She will be bred mid-May or June for a 2011 foal by him. Still looking for any feedback on the stud, if possible!

Thanks!

I have met the breeder of the Casiro's and have spoken about how they breed. I have only seen one Casiro II but I have seen few more Casiro I's. I will attach a picture I took of Casiro II at the Verband last year. I have seen his mother and multiple siblings. This mother line is strong and is producing well. Frau Kuhn stated that Casiro II bred more from his sire Cassini I but the foals seem to get Landgraf Heads(this is a good thing). This is considerably different then his full brother who tends to breed more from his dam sire Landgraf. Casiro II is in sport so there are limited foals but I think it is safe to say that as a grey son of Cassini I, his breeder is probably correct. Lots of scope, a little heavier in the body, a little older type, good bone, strong hips, nice long lines. I hope that helps. I have first right of refusal on their full sibling due this spring. I very much like the Casiro's.

Tim

Tim , they are asking about Casario II , not Casiro II.

He is Caretino / Leonid / Ahorn . The Ahorn mare is the mother of the famous Concerto brothers. I think Casario II was a premium stallion at his approval, other than that , I don't know much about him as he is not being used much in Holstein.

Get in touch with Terri Blatt (Three Winds Farm). She has a filly by him out of one of her mares and knows Casario II's breeder, Sabine, very well.

More mis-information.........Sabine is not his breeder........Otto Peters is. Sabine Bonig is the lady who makes his frozen.

Thanks for all the info guys!!! I really appreciate it :)

RyTimMick the names are very close, I initially made the same mistake - sorry, I probably should have listed parentage to keep it clear. Thanks for all the info and time anyways.

Ponygirl/Bayhawk, thanks for the clarification and the info. I will definitely contact Three Winds Farm.

The stallion is indeed Caretino/Leonid/Ahorn and is a dark bay. This is my first time breeding on my own and it is not something I intend to do again for awhile yet - I just wanted to breed this mare prior to putting her u/s and starting her career. So I am trying my best at researching and gaining some knowledge to make this a wise decision! The mare in question has decent lines as well (Wodan damsire, Winchester/Pik Koenig on the sire's side). She is a dark bay with very correct conformation, lots of presence and athleticism, excellent gaits thus far, and who should be quite solid-bodied (big bone, I anticipate she will be a big horse filled out) but still refined (not too heavy). I have no intentions of keeping the foal but wanted to more accurately gauge its potential quality for sale purposes. I do not need anything overly fancy but would obviously like a quality foal that will sell well, particularly to amateurs.

Thank-you again for all the info thus far.

Sorry, just going off memory that obviously isn't working at 100% :)
