We nominated Apiro. They are having stallions be nominated at the end of the breeding season when the breeding reports are sent in, so I would think that all of them on the list will be good for 2010.

There are only a few nominated for 2010. It says next to the stallion's name which years they are nominated for.

I just purchased the stallion, Richard, first of this month.

I nominated him upon purchasing him but he is still listed on the USHJA site under the HDIF program with his previous rider/agent until they get his USEF ownership change in the system.

As this is Amazing's first year breeding, I will most likely nominate him this year for next years foal crop to be eligible. I really like the classes that are offered, and think it is a more realistic introduction to showing for young horses than some of the previous programs. I'm looking forward to watching how the classes go this year at the shows!

Yes, but they are not requiring the 2010 nominations for back nominated stallions since the fees are based on the number of mares bred. When I spoke to the office, they told me to only nominate Apiro for 2007, 2008, and 2009 and to do the 2010 nomination in the fall when the breeding reports are done.

I agree. They put a lot of thought into what will really work for the young horses and the introductory nomination fee of $100 is very reasonable.

It appears you can nominate after or during the breeding season in 2010? If so, we will let the mare owners of 2010 tell us if nominating for this is important to them - and will do as they request.
