My Indian Artifacts mare is due in 7 weeks!!

My coming 6 yr old mare is due with her first foal in 7 weeks. She is bred to Romantic Star. This is also my first foaling experience. She looks great and up to date on everything. What all do you guys do in the last few weeks? I have my foaling manuals and the vet will be on call. Ive been doing my research. Im just getting a little nervous!! This mare is my baby.

There's not much you can do except wait ;)

Starting at about 300 days I start checking them more closely, starting at 320 days (earlier if needed..) I start watching the camera for a few hours at night, getting used to the mare's 'patterns'.

Photos are good to document progress, then you can look at them side by side. I used test strips, they give me a good idea. Depending on how large the mare is, sometimes I break down feedings into smaller, more frequent portions, as space gets tight in there the last few weeks.

Gah... I have to wait until May for my first this year... so long to go.
