I read the recent Chronicle article about Ron Zabala-Goetschel and his efforts to clone his gelding, Che Mr. Wiseguy. This got me thinking a lot and led to a lengthy conversation between my partner, Don and me. It is an interesting topic. Anyway Denny, we were wondering, of the vast number of super horses you have ridden over the years, who would you clone (assuming you were inclined to do this) , and why?

York, given one choice. He had all the pieces. Soundness, toughness, jump, movement, boldness, mind, agility, character----

Given several choices, and no money restrictions, sure, there are several. But thinking "today", not back then, York is the one that best comes into modern eventing, I think.

Besides, it would be easier to name the clones: Fork, Mork, Bork, Snork...

(Sorry, brain needed a little levity:lol:)

Yeah, you must have been reading the Darren thread! I cannot believe they re-posted that. I think we all need a little more levity.
