I got word this AM that our mare Greta was accepted into the Hanoverian JBP based on her performance results from Germany. We have been thrilled with her and when she was inspected for AHS this summer we were happy that she scored well- to now have her in the JBP is the icing on the cake.
Just wanted to share because I am :) :) :) :)

this mare looks absolutely wonderful for her age. kudos to you for her great condition! i wonder is she still fertile? this is a really interesting pedigree with the half-bred gaspari on top of a capitol mare. for a holsteiner breeder this is begging for good contender blood like cubito or concerto grosso, if you're looking to make a jumper. you seem to be looking towards hann breeding though, given your announcement, which is great.
again, from a holsteiner perspective it is very good that she seems to be a strong individual. the motherlines throughout her pedigree are not strong, and most are not even recorded. this does not mean she can't do well.... to conventional breeders though, she and her get have it to prove.
congratulations on your announcement and good luck with breeding her!

Thanks everyone-
NE- We spoke a little about her before. She is currently infoal to a HAN JBP stallion which is why we took the route of getting her there also. Her JBP foal is due in April. She was bred at 17 and took on the first try so I hope she will continue to be an easy breeder ;)
My plan for the next season is up in the air. I have looked at some HOL stallions for her as well as some JBP boys. She was HOL approved in Germany so I have a couple options. While I am aware that she doesn't have a famous stamm she is a super mare with a great show record so I am excited to see what she can produce. So many people always say they want to see a mare that has done something in the ring-she has :) Her attitude , work ethic, soundness and ability still shine through at the age of 18.
I guess we will know in a couple months is she can produce the same quality in the breeding shed that she did in the performance rings :) :)

Congratulations. I was just thinking about your mare today (while cleaning stalls, of course), and remembering her from the Starr Vaughn inspection, and wondering if she would be in the jumper breeding program. Now she is!
