And she could be free! Kentucky race breeder is looking for a good home.

She's far better bred for sport than for modern racing. She even has a negative dosage CD, which is RARE these days.

BTW, I read where one of Salute The Truth's get won a novice steeplechase.

No surprise there - Saluter was a grand timber horse I believe. (Sire of Salute the Truth).

The owner was interviewed, and this was her homebred. She bred to Salute The Truth for his pedigree and his very cheap, compared to Racers, stud fee. She was pleased. I think the story was in the Chronicle, and the winner was a filly--but I can't actually remember the details.

I'm guessing you're referring to a mare named Farah T Salute - she's "Willy's" first stakes winner. She was bred by and is still owned and trained by Jazz Napravnik. We have some info on her on our website, but it appears that it is currently down (grrrr....) - a first for me as webmaster. I'll try to fix that when I get home - she's on the Salute The Truth offspring page - http://www.dodonfarm.com/willy-offspring.html
In the meantime - here are some race pictures on her trainer/owner's website:
