On the 28th our beautiful imported mare Glenormiston Amelia produced a lovely filly by Hidden Creek Sport Horses Imported Connemara Stallion Ard Celtic Art. As I understand it our new filly is Arts first purebred Connemara Pony foal. I am thrilled with her as I have been waiting for five years for a filly foal from my favorite mare. My hope with this breeding was to produce a filly foal that could eventually be bred back to my own stallion *Wildwych Eclipse. Introducing R. Titania at two days old :)

Yep not going to be a pony--but I think most likely 15HH. She reminds me a great deal of her three older half siblings (all Purebred Connemara Ponies)--but leggier and taller.

Sec. B Welsh filly born early yesterday morning. By Land's End Adagio (*Carolinas Red Fox, LOM X *Llanarth Rhapsody) out of Benlea Pandora (Benlea Rambler X Findeln Siren). Dam is a full sister to Pony Dot Com and filly is a full sister to my Quicksilver Aria that was 2nd at Upperville last yr in the 2 yr old Pony Hunter Breeding and 1st at the North American Pony Futurity. She will finish a good sized medium. Grey with 4 tall stockings to the knee and a huge blaze. Very quiet and friendly like all her daddy's babies. We love her:)!! Photos at about 8 hrs old....

This is my newest. A colt by Sugarbrook Blue Pacific (Traveller) and out of Catalina by Carolinas Red Fox. He joins two other brothers. My husband calls him "Hot Dog" or he could be called "Hot Rod". Hes a little dickens, but oh so cute. I will do a few pictures of him taken today at a bit over a week old.

The bay is a colt out of Teddy's full sister, Louisiana Catahoula; the darker chestnut is a colt out of Chelsea's Christian, 3/4 sis to Ted and full sis to a Nat'l Ch (s/m gr) and to Chelsea's Rennaisance (dam of the 2009 Dev res. BYP). The lighter chestnut is a filly out of Ted's mom. All are by Land's End The Colonel's Fox.

Pony colt born on 5/29/10 at 10:30 PM. Not entirely sure on the color yet. He is bay based but may be a bay dun. Two hind socks, small white bands behind each front, and a small moon shaped star. Very correct, socialable, and most importantly healthy.

We had the terrific opportunity a couple of months ago to purchase a mare I had wanted since she was a foal. She arrived here in foal.... and she just gave me the most beautiful filly at 11 pm last night!

The dam is Section B Welsh mare *Waxwing Curtain Call, imported from Scotland, by Royal Welsh Champion Eyarth Beau Geste and out of the medal winning ridden champion mare, Mynach Pinafore. You can see more of Curtain Call at http://www.welshponies.com/curtain.htm

The filly is sired by a stallion called High Hopes Nitro, who is by *Hilin Peredur. I believe this filly is Nitro's only foal, as he has been gelded to be part of a CDE pair. You can see his very interesting pedigree here: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/high+hopes+nitro

I'm quite smitten with her! I'm thinking her name will be Clanfair Caledonia with a barn name of "Callie". Still up in the air a bit, but that's what I'm leaning towards at the moment!

I know, it will be really interesting to see how she grows up. It's not necessarily a pedigree I would have run out and picked out myself, but it could be very nice. I certainly look at her at this point and see LOTS of damside influence, so that's great, as far as I'm concerned!!

We have a new face here.

I went out to the barn to feed on Sunday morning and discovered that the mare had foaled without me! This is the THIRD foal she has snuck by me. She doesn't give the slightest sign she's going to foal -- so not textbook!

Anyway, we had our one and only *Wedderlie Mardi Gras foal for the year -- a beautiful chestnut colt with bling! His dam is a fabulous imported mare, *Russetwood Romance, and I believe she is the only daughter of the great Rotherwood State Occasion in North America. This colt is bred in the purple, and he is exactly what I hoped for from this cross. Well, except for gender!! I would have preferred a filly! BUT! If it was going to be a colt, I couldn't be happier. He's just fantastic.

He is a Section B Welsh Pony.

Last night our wonderful imported welsh mare Downland Satinwood foaled a lovely, feminine chestnut filly by our imported welsh stallion Fydlyn Adlais. No pictures yet, waiting for her to unfold. We were anxiously awaiting our very own Adlais foal and we are very impressed.

Breaking the filly run, our lovely colt foal Willow's Thunder Ashes was born just this past Monday. He is just a doll pony, not a shy bone in his body and I already want to bring him in the house! lol!

He is by our stallion Willow Boy and out of Shammer Gypsy Queen (*Ballinaboy Eamon x *Kingstown Brigid).

Double Lustre bred.

Super quiet demeanor, already child friendly and has a great mind, as all Belshazzars tend to have. Her dam is stunning (tiny head and huge eye) and this filly got the best of her parents. Will be a serious broodmare after her performance career.

New pictures of our one and only *Wedderlie Mardi Gras LOM foal for the year! He's a DOLL though! My only complaint is that he's not the filly I ordered!

His dam is *Russetwood Romance, a daughter of Rotherwood State Occasion -- 10 time winner of the UK sire ratings! I believe she is the only State Occasion offspring in North America.

Howran Hills owns a mare by Rotherwood State Occasion named Cottrell Rose Princess. Not trying to be a know it all, just wanted to give the mare some recognition because she is a lovely pony just like your mare! Congrats on such a wonderful foal.

Posting photos of our friend's filly Blue Rock Maria sired by goodpony's Wildwych Eclipse and out of his champion Irish Imported Connemara mare *Murvey Inver Lor (Currachmore Cashel x Murvey Cara by Boden Park Finnard). Super interesting and unique breeding for the States.

Maria represents 10 generations of my friend's breeding with her mareline (and he himself is 3rd generation pony breeder).

She was the winner of the foal class at the Midwest Connemara Show.

I wanted to steal her!

Our only 2010 foal arrived safe and sound. Daventry's Power Play is by our Section B Welsh stallion Alvesta Picasso and out of our Section B mare Pajon's Royal Flirt. He has already been 1st in his Section B Weanling Futurity and overall Reserve Grand Champion of the Alberta Section B Welsh Futurities this year at just a month of age and Gail Thomson from Gayfields Welsh Ponies pinned him overall Grand Champion Section B Stallion (over the mature stallions) at his first Welsh show this year!
