BWA HA HA! The show is finish, the results have been calculated and winners have been determined.

If you placed FIRST or SECOND in ANY class, please email cocoachanel@nc.rr.com with your name, your horse's name, and which class you won. I know she will be out of town until the 19th or something like that, so it will take a while to get a response.

PonyJumperGRL- What if the picture is blurry. I have a picture I want to enter in Short Stirrup, and you can tell where everything is, but it is very blurry. Would this be acceptable?

Secondly, could you combine short and long stirrup in an eq on the flat/ hunter under saddle classes?

How do you enter a flat class photo? I'm confused? Is the photo taken at walk/trot/or canter or all three?
Also what are the requirements for a long stirrup entry other than age?
And what height are the baby greens?
Are there additional rules or information elsewhere? If so where?

Impromptu> No problem for Dressage show. It CAN come off of webshots, in fact it would help me out a bunch if you just sent a link of the picture to me and I'll save it myself (saves room in the mail box).

JrJumper> Yes, you can do that, just like at a regular show. We just don't want the SAME horse in the SAME class.

Chrissy> You CAN enter any picture in this show, regardless if you entered it in the last one or not (we have new blood to compete with now http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )

As to your second question, yup that's fine..we just don't want the same rider in the same class two times.

I see 2 classes at the 2'6" level : Special Hunters (#3) and Baby Green (#25), but I do not see a PreGreen class (at 3').

Am I missing something or was it intentional to leave out the PreGreens? (This horse WAS in his first year of showing when the picture was taken, but usually Baby Greens is a 2'6" dvision and Pre-Greens are 3' ---). Do you mean to put them together as class 25?

Since I have a good 2'6" picture and a good 3' picture (with trainer up, so they do not qualify for the A/A class). How should I divide them up as entries?

Ok, Im a lil' confused about the whole:

"6. You may only enter one picture of one horse in the Hunter classes. That does not mean you can't enter two horses in the class, it just means you can't enter two pictures of ONE horse.
7. Only one entry PER RIDER in the equitation. (meaning, you cannot enter the same rider on two horses"

Does that mean I can enter, say, Childrens hunter and no more hunter classes? Or, is that per class?

Sorry, Im having one of those crappy dumb blond days. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Impromptu, you can enter a horse in as many hunter classes as it's qualified for, you just can't enter two pictures of the same horse in one class. (So yes, you can enter as many DIFFERENT horses in a class as you want)

You can enter as many equitation classes as you are qualified for, however you can't enter the same rider in the same class twice.

Just like in real life- hunter riders can show as many as they want in the hunters, but only one in the eq.

custom> no problem, just use your BB name!

I am 16 years old. Can I enter:

Childrens Flat (was is it? eq?)
Junior Equitation on the flat
Special Hunters (thats on the horse right? The jump can be 2ft?)
Long Stirrup Equitation (it has to be an x that is 2 foot?)

Thanks!

PonyJumperGRL

The Children's Flat is actually an Under Saddle class. The consensus seems to be that you can enter whatever you were qualified for when the picture was taken (for instance, if you have a picture from 6 years ago in the Short Stirrup you can enter that in the Short Stirrup, but you ARE also allowed to enter a more recent picture in say the Junior Hunters...)

Long Stirrup is anything from a X to jumps up to 2'. Special Hunters is the horse and the heights are anywhere from 2'-2'6.

Whats the height range for the jumps? Can a 2ft one be okay?

Im not sure if my horse would be eligable for this or not. Weve gone over some little cross rails for about 2 years, but just recently (past 6 months) we have done some higher ones (2`3) with interesting stuff under them. Can she go in the Baby Green Hunters?

Not that I would win, but say I were to win a cooler. I live in Ontario Canada. Who would pay for shipping?

Im assuming Coth would, but down here they are famous for making us go to the post office to pick things up and then pay an additional $15 or so shipping fee, even though shipping has been payed for!

Then again, I guess it wouldnt be that bad, win a cooler, and then have to pay the $15... but to win say a brush or a hoof pick thats a bit pricey!

LMAO Regal, ha ha ha!!!

Is this going to be done like the last show...where all the entries are posted here and we judge them? Just curious as it is the 25th.

Yes, since it's the 25th all entries are due...now.

Now I'm taking the extremely large amount of entries and making collages of them each with their number, then, we'll need 10 people to judge each class...I'll try and get a page up with all the judging info tonight!

Hey, Lauryn, no problem..got all your entries plus the one for your little sister...I just took them out of my other mailbox and plopped them in...and also, you had a jumping picture but you said you wanted it in the flat eq class..I'm assuming you wanted it in the 3'6 eq because you'd already entered the flat, so that's where I put you!

Hi,
Just thought I would let you know that you are suppossed to mail your score sheets to the email address that PonyJumperGRL posted on the page with the classes. Which I am posting below. Also each entry is suppossed to get a score not just a placing, like a score of 78, not just 1st, 2nd, and so on. Just thought I would clarify things for you, it can get confusing. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Assign a numerical score for each horse, 0-100, 100 being absolutely positively perfect. Then, send your "score sheet" to: HawaiianTropic82486@hotmail.com

"Score sheets" should look like this:
CLASS # - CLASS NAME
#1: score
#2: score

CharcoalSketch - Right now DreamBigEq37 and I are planning the second annual COTH Winter Equestrian Festival, to take place (probably) in early January. It worked very well last year with a similar format to the COTH International. It's a big show with a lot of work, but everyone seemed to enjoy it, so we're planning on doing it again. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm also considering putting it on a website, much like Amanda has done (because it is genius), unless people like seeing their scores in threads (yep, opinions wanted!). http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I judged the classes I was in...I just didn't judge myself. Is that all right? If so, everyone go ahead and do that...and maybe we can get this thing wrapped up!!

I am assuming that baby green hunters still need to be judged since they needed 9 the other day...and scopiest jumper.. I would do them but I can't judge twice.. just trying to control my patience to see results.. hehehe.. hope everyone does as well as they expected (or even better!) http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

"bumping" something makes it move farther up the list of topics in each forum, as they're organized by most recent post. So if you bump something, it pushes it closer to the top of the list and usually means more people will see the topic and comment on it, than if it were floating at the bottom, or, even worse, on the 2nd page!! We won't even comtemplate the horror of a post being on page 3 or more... http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Does that make sense? I have had too much ice cream to think straight!

AHHHHHHHH! Ok...WS_ftp is no longer my friend...Britney has just brought to my attention that the Adult Eq O/F has 15 entries and for most people, only four are showing up...so I tried reuploading the picture and it works for me now.

CLASSES THAT STILL NEED JUDGING!
Scopiest Under 3'6 Section A needs FOUR PEOPLE.
Scopiest Under 3'6 Section B needs THREE PEOPLE.
Adult Equitation on the Flat needs THREE PEOPLE.
Adult Equitation over fences needs SEVEN PEOPLE.

Hi,

I don't know if I'm crazy or not but the results from the Regular Hunters O/F do not correspond. The scores do not match up with the listed order.

The order according to scores is: #4,3,2,1,5,6 and according to the order it is just 1 through 6. Looks like it maybe got missed, according to the scores on the score sheet anyway http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Great job on the show, thanks a lot to everyone who worked hard. I have one suggestion though for next time, if we just gave scores for each placing like if you thought someone gets first the first is worth 100 pts, then second could be 95, and so on, and then whoever gets the highest score in the end wins or they could have an average out of all the scores they got. Just a suggestion :-)

I like that idea. One thing that I noticed on some of the scores is that they varied. Like some got a (just making these numbers up as I don't know the exact ones) 95 and a 70. Since we're all not 'R' judges I think it would be *more* accurate if we just placed them in the order that we thought they should come in. Other than that I think that the show was a great hit and so much fun.
