View Full Version : Hill work in the snow

Today on a walk around the farm, I discovered that one of the large pastures was empty and had some hills that ranged from steep to a gentle incline. I figured I'd get out there on nice days to do some gentle hill work to break up the monotony of being stuck in the arena.

Aside from trotting up and walking down, what other kinds of exercise's can be done using hills in the winter? Currently the snow is just over Matt's pasterns, wet, and the footing is even and safe. He is also shod in front and has ice corks.
