View Full Version : Jingles for my mare, please
Jan. 14, 2010, 02:57 PM
If anyone has any spare jingles, could they please send them the way of my mare, Fiesta? She coliced last night and is currently at the vet school. I know she's receiving excellent care but I'm still very worried about her. Please send good thoughts her way.
I know I'll appreciate any good vibes we get, and I'm sure the mare's owner will too.

Thanks for the kind words. She's still in the hospital and doing a little better this evening. I think she's going to be overjoyed when she gets her IV catheter out.:lol:

Thanks again for the jingles and well wishes. The vets found out that Fiesta (or Aberjack's Fiesta if we want to be formal) has really bad ulcers and they are treating them aggressively. I have my fingers crossed that this is going make her feel better! If it doesn't then the vets are going to be really thinking about surgery.
I'm not the mare's owner, but I am her rider- she comes to college with me. I'm really attached to her and just want her to hurry up and feel better. She's supposed to be an event horse, but I'm too chicken so she puts up with endless twenty meter circles and my dressage obsession. I'm posting this on the event forum rather than the dressage forum as I may not be eventing right know, but most of the people I am around in the horseworld are eventers and that's the crowd I'm most comfortable with.

Jingles continue ~ at least you know the cause of her discomfort and now treatment can be started . Good Luck .

Many jingles, including from Star who removed his IV catheter while undergoing treatment for an impaction. Don't know if he was happier about the removal of the catheter or the muzzle.
