A dearly loved pony is having surgery today after a pasture incident that left her with multiple fractures of her outside hind splint bone.

Her prognosis depends on the condition of the suspensory apparatus which the surgeon said he will be able to determine during the surgery.

She is the sweetest pony and I just want send some good vibes her way.

Her name is Rosie (TB x Welsh) we owned her for 3 years and when my daughter outgrew her, a good friend bought her for her two daughters.

ROSIE came through surgery well and woke up quietly. Huge relief! Just a little bit of soft tissue damage but she should rehab fine and be able to continue in her job!!!

I know some very happy and grateful little girls (not to mention me;)).

Glad to hear she's doing well! My mare shattered her splint in about 6 pieces nearly 3 years ago- she was back in action within just a few months, no problems before or since, other than the leg stocks up a bit in a stall if kept in for a while, so I ten to wrap it.
