Looking for someone to stand up a nice (& big!) two year old WB Mare for me at the Spring shows. Mare won on the line last year, but has grown considerably and we need someone more experienced to handle her.

We're in NoVA. Who would you suggest?

Oliver Brown. Can't recommend him highly enough - does a great job and is very experienced- has won everything. His cell is 540-229-7752.

Jens Richter - I use him exclusively. The one time that I did not use him (due to scheduling conflict) my filly did not show quite as well - she still placed, but Jens really knows how to get them to show their BEST. PM me for his number.

Chip Leonard is up that way and does a fantastic job in the breeding ring. PM if you would like his contact info.

I don't think Jens does hunter breeding and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't travel to Virginia to do it. He's a great sporthorse handler though.

Oliver Brown usually shows for us and does a fantastic job. His brother Charlie has also won with our horses.

While their webb sites shows alot of Friesnes they handle a variety of Sports horses.

I have watched Bruce and his wife handle horses for many years @ the bigger breed shows and can tell you they do a First class job from start to finish. Have a working knowledge of the breed standards and put the horse in the Best light to be judged. Professional from start to finish, always appropriate turn out, I would certainly add them to any list.

They don't sound like hunter breeding handlers to me.

Larry Jones from Culpeper. He and his wife Rie are wonderful, kind, professional horse people. He sometimes has a waiting list, but he is definitly worth it!

I'm not sure if Brian Byrne is still in VA, but he is the greatest! We've had a lot of success with him when he was based in NY. But the last I heard, he was in VA.

Really, what hunter breeding classes have they handled for? My point is that I don't know of anyone who does both. They are very different.
