Hi all,

I'm moving to DC next month for a new job, bringing my very green 6YO OTTB. I'm looking for a laid back training/show barn; would really prefer an indoor and my horse would really prefer field board. Would love a great social vibe and other after-work riders, and a trainer with a really soft riding style. I know I'm going to end up with an awful commute but would love to keep it under an hour from downtown in the late eve. Advice?

You're going to have a hard time commuting from downtown during rush hour if you want to keep it under an hour. Most barns are an hour away with good traffic not going through downtown and all that traffic. I ride at a barn in Poolesville but it's an hour from where I am on a good day and thats not close to downtown at all, and they don't do field board. Good luck though!
