This stallion is by the US/Irish bred Jade Hunter and out of the French bred mare Zalitalia. If you know these lines, are they "the sporthorse type"? Thanks

Looks like he comes from a turf loving, distance loving family--which always seems compatible with sporthorses. I think Vandale leads you to Ksar ...... worden to wild risk and relic takes you to war relic all classic sporthorse lines.

Someone suggested him about crossing him with my friend's QH mares and when I looked into him, the only horses I knew were his sire's top side. Hence, the questions, as a sporthorse sire too.

He's got a lot of lines to the great TB sire, Ksar. The more Ksar lines a horse has, the better he is likely to be for jumping. Pharly is always a good line because of his dam line, which goes back to Mourne through the sire of Laudanum, a French GP jumper and Selle Francais sire of GP jumpers. Vieux Manoir is also a staple in the creation of SF jumper lines.

I'd say that 7/8 or more of the pedigree is more than averagely good for sport horses. I am, however, biased in favor of French TB lines with lots of Ksar/Dollar coming through lots of ancestors.

I would love to see him go too. The info said he had been hurt, an ankle or something, I forget, so I doubt jumping would be a good idea but I would love to see him move otherwise.
