Does anyone else have this problem? I have 4 horses at home with me. They are all blanketed but not clipped. They all have multiple turnouts to change into. No matter what when it rains or snows and they stand out in it the rain seems to get into the blanket around the opening and seep back! Does anyone else have this problem. The blankets they wear fit very well. Anyway to prevent this?

Thanks!

Yes, I have this problem w/all blankets except the ones that come up the neck like the purple heavyweight Rambos. Or ones that have a detachable hood (I really like these).

Normal occurrence with my regular cut blankets. Turtleneck blankets fit snugger around the neck, so they don't let as much in. I also have a couple of the high-neck type "wug" blankets, and those do a better job, and then the blankets that I have with neck rugs are absolutely the best for keeping them dry.

All of ours do it except for the turnout savy horse that always puts his butt to the wind. Of all ours, the Rambo Duo V Neck seems to be the worst. I'll stick with the original Rambo from now on.

Yup, I've got both and the detachable hood is my favorite. The highneck ones are like that every day of the week, whether you need that much cover or not.

Yup that happens w/ regular blankets. During rain/snow/sleet my two wear either high neck blankets or neck attachments - problem solved :).
