What to mix spirulina with? too dusty

So I'm giving my horse spirulina and msm to help his COPD. Now it seems like he's inhaling more than he's eating. Water seemed to make it clump and nasty and not stick to the food (the spirulina). What do you use?

Try oil. Flax oil is best, because it's high in omega 3 fatty acids, but you can use wheat germ oil, corn oil, olive oil . . .

Thanks! I don't know what happened (maybe not enough water) but it did it the one time and hasn't since... bizarre. He now licks his bowl clean which is great because he wouldn't touch the powder by itself.

I have a Morgan mare on spirulina and I add it to her soaked beet pulp/alfalfa cube meal that she gets at lunchtime.
