In the past, I never used my body protector much. I just left it at home and brought it to the barn when I needed it.

At my new barn, we always jump in body protectors, and I've been wearing it while conditioning as well, just to get used to it. So I've been leaving it in the trunk of my car - all summer and now coming up to winter.

I know that helmets shouldn't be exposed to extreme temperatures because it degrades the material, but does anyone know if it's the same for body protectors? I'd love to leave it in my car, but I won't if it means it won't be as effective when I need it.

I left mine in the car to freeze but I live in SC so it didn't freeze that much. Personally, I'd say it's fine but to be careful maybe shoot an email to the manufacturer or seller.
