This guy seems really nice, and has a REALLY nice pedigree (from what little I know), what do you guys think?

The second pic makes him look downhill, but I think it might be the weird stance? Is he "hock high"?

This one is a KNOCK OUT, minus those scary pasterns. Do you think it's the horribly long toe, or something to be worried about?

Opinions? Pedigree and confo? I'm trying to develop my "eye", I love learning from the critiques on here.

dude, if you are looking in CA I'd look at this one too:

she's beautiful, if you ask me.

this is my very amatuer opinion:

IT'S ZAVATA TIME:
long pasterns are long pasterns regardless of how long his toe is. the angle will change with trimming, not the length. cute, love that face. seems fairly level for a TB.

I like his pedigree! It's somewhat similar to Mike Winter's WONDERFUL WILL (who I adore):

HIGH IN THE AIR:
the hocks should line up to the chestnut in the front legs. looks ok to me.
he's seems cute
pedigree is ok, like the other one better. love FORLI though.

Wow she is cute! Canter CA has soooooo many nice ones! What is it with us out here? I'm beginning to think they are breeding for sport rather than speed, lol.

I realize pasterns don't change length with hoof trim, I just wasn't sure if my eyes were messing with me because of the way his feet look.
Thanks for the input! I wish I could pick one of those three up, they are soooooo close to me! Really I just want help developing an "eye". And who doesn't like oogling over the CANTER cuties??

I don't think his pasturns are scary bad...he is also only 3 so still growing and changing. Often a really good mover will have some length in their pasturns. I like him better than the first horse....but he is a bit tied in behind the knee.

Honestly...I like all three horses...but I tend to like most of them. I go on how they move more than straight conformation.
