Let's get together Friday afternoon after the testing and visit over a glass of wine - or cocoa (as I hear it's gonna be cooooold).

I would have love to attend the final weekend, but plane tickets are way too expensive for a weekend trip lol!! I guess I'll buy popcorn and hope to grab some moments on internet!!

I have to go to a wedding (4 hrs away) Sat and Sunday ride in a clinic/lesson--so a big "no" to going or to watching online. But I think it would be fun!

Some wonderful person who is there should give a recap for everyone *hint* ;)

Well, looks like you and me will have to finish that bottle of wine together ( Susan will be there but she is a bit too much fun when drinking so she does not...)

IF you ask me nicely, Kathy, I'll bring you one of my margaritas. Or I'll stand OVER the bartender at whatever bar is around and tell them EXACTLY how to do it for you!

Is everyone staying at the Holiday Inn Express???

Nope. I'm traveling with my dog mob <sigh>. Long story there, but in the meantime, we're staying at the La Quinta Inn South. Good rates and nice hotel. And Rebecca? Pretty please with whipped cream and a cherry on top? <smile>...

I'll be at the La Quinta also.

Yes but not what I post here :)
However, if she did, she would be the first to agree with me on this one...

Those that don't have it, PM me and I'll give you my cell phone, so we can get together for that cocktail. Can anyone suggest a good place?

I'll arrive at Tulsa airport at 4:30, so even tonight I'll be out there somewhere. Happy to meet up.

The favorite place of the stallion owners to hang out is Charleston's. It is a hop, skip, and a jump from the Holiday Inn Express & Townplace Suites.

Ok. We are here. Just saw Rhonda who is trying to bribe her stallion with offers of any treats he wants if he does well for the next two days!

sounds like dinner tonight is at Charleston's.

See you guys tomorrow! Reg and I will be leaving here bright and early tomorrow a.m. so that he arrives in time to photograph the dressage on the boys. I'm just hoping it warms up!!!

I wish so much I could be there. But alas, my own little herd needs me to feed them. Kathy did say it was very cold there and I don't miss that. It's actually freezing here in CA. too!

Good luck to all the stallion owners. I have been following them all and they're a lovely bunch!

An especial good luck to you Edgar with your BVG. I have bred to your stallions before and find them extraordinary, especially in the tempament catagory. I'm having the time of my life on 3 1/2 year old Panzyr by Pablo! A very special horse!! Honestly, my biggest problem with this horse is our (Panzyr and my) professioanl trainer wants to steal him from me for the young envent horse next year!:D:D And I'll probably give in and let him have Panzyr for the season!:)

Again,
Good luck to all!!!:):)

Well, we got out there bright and early this morning to watch some of the vet checking just to get a glimpse of the boys and to educate some folks about the process. Learned that the vet check is private and for stallion owners only.

That is fine and makes sense, but should have been put on the schedule that it is not open to the public. Just thought I'd let you guys know not to break your necks trying to get here before the dressage stuff at 2:00.

Hey Sonesta!

If you have the pleasure of meeting Bill Payne (Ahmour's owner) please let him know that all Ahmour's fans back home in Virginia are watching and sending positive vibes his way!

Thank you both! Certainly is a lovely group of stallions.

Looking forward to the live feed (which I will be watching from the corner of a waiting room while my son has his vision therapy! All the other moms will be talking about their clothes for holiday parties and who at the gym has fake boobs and wears her clothes too tight. I, thankfully, will be in the corner with my earbuds one, glued to my screen. Wouldn't have it any other way.)

Best wishes to all -- and for safe travels home when you are all through!

Sonesta: I want to make it abundantly clear that in my absence, you are solely responsible for monitoring Kathy and ensuring her good behaviour in the event that Margaritas enter the picture.

Failing successful monitoring, you are responsible for posting bail and representation pro bono! :)

I hope everyone has a fun and successful stallion testing!

Hi Sonesta,

Please tell Lucy Meyers that the gals in El Paso are rooting for their man!

Burning question: is the arena they did dressage in open or inclosed in Plexiglass or something...I couldn't tell. Beautiful facility!

Thanks!

Jos, truly, I'll try to control her, but then you know Kathy!

J-Lu, I literally had to hold onto Lucy this afternoon when her boy entered the arena. She was a nervous wreck, but Sonntagskind was wonderful. What a stallion!

The horses all looked great - even the Knabstrupper (although he wasn't as fit as the one that had been there for weeks). And I loved the little Arabian. What a cutie pie!

But, folks, it is so COLD!!!!!

Sonesta,

Tell Lucy her El Paso contingency says Hello. Martha and I have three wee Sontagskinds on the way for 2010. He did look good! A little fussy in the beginning but he made me glad I bred to him. Love his jumping picture. For a dressage horse...nice knees. I hope Lucy holds it together for the next couple of days! It must be thrilling for her to see her own boy blossom so nicely.

Keep warm!
J.

Oh, one last thing before I head off to bed. Apparently, someone thought I was being snarky about the vetting being private. NOPE! It made perfect sense. I was just sorry I didn't realize it before getting up early and going out in the cold! totally my mistake and I missed sleeping in.

I want to go on the record as saying I think everyone at Silver Creek is doing and has done a wonderful job and I am thrilled at how well the stallions are doing. Taking on the task of holding a stallion testing is a thankless one and there seem to be all too many people ready to leap on ANY excuse to criticize. But do NOT use any twisting of a comment made by me to do so.

Summer & Barb, you both rock!

At the Gala event tonight. :)

Where you at, Tracy? Reg and I booked out of there so he could thaw out and work on photos. I'm assuming that's what everyone else did.

See ya tonight!
