View Full Version : Pedro E. Diaz? Trainer at Camarero in PR

Dec. 3, 2009, 03:41 PM
So I'm trying to track down a TB gelding that ended up in Puerto Rico at Camarero. As far as I can tell, he last raced under a trainer named Pedro E. Diaz.

Yes, apparently there is a step down from Suffolk Downs and Finger Lakes:no:

I'm trying to assist with getting him into rescue if he's even still alive since the horse has not run there since June.

Actually, he was claimed FROM him.... Claimed by Miguel Robles for Establo Cubanacan.

Anyone have info?

I was too late in this case. :(
Horses down there are euthanized much more quickly than they are here.

Sorry to hear that. There are few rescues in PR. I only know of one, and I don't think they've ever taken in a TB before. It's a different world down there.

Check out the FInger Lakes thread on Off Course, http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/showthread.php?t=232556

where COTHers helped prevent Karakorum Patriot, a longtime campaigner, from going to Puerto Rico. Instead, KP is headed to the new Old Friends in NY.

There are also numerous horses at risk in the few days at the NY state racetrack. Some are being offered for free, including two beautiful mares

and a lovely older mare

If you have space for one of them or any of the others, please check it out.

This is a sore subject for me, but my response is to update you on the mares Me Me Anna and Somewhereinbetween. They've both been placed. And I believe Nikki Blue has an excellent chance of being placed, but PLEASE CALL to inquire if you're interested.
