I was so sorry to read Jennie Brannigan's latest blog entry. Sounds like Cooper has developed laminitis. I just wanted to let her know that I am sending all possible good vibes their way. Hope to hear better news soon.

Ugh this news breaks my heart!!! I loved watching Jennie and Cooper. They are such a class act!!!!

Can horses recover from laminitis? I have heard of it before but don't have a lot of knowledge about the condition.

yes they can recover...it can also get bad enough that you have to put them down. Hopefully it will not come to that...

Prayers and jingles for Cooper. I sure hope he has the strength to beat this. I have a very tough kitty named Cooper (who is also beautiful and sweet) and I know he's saying little kitty prayers.

Horrible news. This poor girl has been through so much, and not just with this horse...yes, at least they are in the best possible hands with the New Bolton team.
Reminds us how lucky we are every morning just to walk to the barn and see them standing there, bearing weight on all fours....

Jenny and Cooper, Hope you can hear all these prayers coming your way. My horse foundered this summer ...followed by a serious abscess...so we've been there.
One day at a time...one day at a time.

Cooper - Hang in there little buddy (Jennie, that goes for you too). Trying to keep back the tears for you both right now - not exactly the end to the season you dreamed of. Fingers and hooves crossed...

Pulling for Cooper here in Missouri! Keep your chin up Jennie. I know that is easier said than done at this point in the game but know that you have lots and lots of people pulling for you and your Wonder Pony!

yes...her blog said he started to have some sinking. They have that stopped for the moment.

They had been doing all the right things before too (good supportive shoing)....and I know are doing what they can now. Just really sucks and is scary.

I hope that she knows...no matter the outcome...she did all she could for him. Horses can be such heartbreakers. Still hoping that there will be a postive outcome out of this for him and sending my well wishes.
