Does anyone knows if Donnerhall is still available by frozen semen? If so any idea of his price or its quality? Must have been frozen a while back...

I might be wrong, but from what I recall, unless you ran it across the barn aisle, it didn't "keep well" even cooled and it didn't freeze, especially as he got older?

It's VERY bad quality. It runs about $6000 US if you can even find it, and it would truely be a miricle to get a frozen pregnancy with it... sadly. I had investigated this several years ago. Such a shame.

I'm not sure that it really is "such a shame". He left behind many sons that exceeded him in quality of gaits and conformation. Donnerhall was clearly one of the most influential stallions but I think we've moved on to bigger and better.

That being said- you can still get the semen if you look carefully... And I heard its dreadful quality.

Thank you for confirming what I was suspecting.

Donnerhall's sire Donnerwetter still has frozen seman available. Maybe you would be interested in him?
