Just caught a press release on both the KWPN sites that Jacques has resigned from his post at the KWPN. "A difference of views" is cited in the press release. I am genuinely sorry to learn about his resignation, his voice has literally been the voice of the KWPN for me. Best wishes to Jacques!

That is a shame. I always appreciated his insight. I wish him well.

Marieke - why don't you shed some light on this, please.... who were the other two?
why not

Two?? There are already 5 who resigned, or had to resign.
1. Head Communications DW Rosie
2. Head of financial dep. T. Bakker
3. Breedingexpert H. van Tartwijk
4. vice-director R. van der kuil
5. New head communications D. Jonker
They all did not cope with the autocratic way Johan Knaap, the director of KWPN is leading the organisation. His way or out, seems to be the device at the headquarters.

I am so sorry to hear this. Jacques was a great ambassador for the KWPN, and I always enjoyed his input at meetings and the keurings.

This is a shame! I agree, he was a great ambassador of the KWPN and was very competent. We will miss him a lot.

Hello Everyone!
I am truly sad to hear the news of Jacque's departure from the KWPN......Despite the fact that we didn't always see eye to eye <g> (Usually concerning my insistance that the Breeding of (some) horses with "All Around" Capabilities is healthiest for the KWPN Breed as a whole...).
Thank you Jacques......for all of your years of guidance and good service, and for helping us (American Breeders), to strive to breed the best KWPN horses possible.... We will miss you.....and wish you ALL the BEST in everything you and your beautiful family do.....
Fondly,

This is really unfortunate news!:( He always had a kind and/or insightful comment to share with us. We will miss him.
We wish Jacques and his family the very best in future.
Do you know who will replace him? Will Bart do the entire tour?

This is sad news... Jacques was very helpful. He was clear in the breeding goal and was approachable and informative.
It is a great loss to those of us who have been working with him over the years.
We also wish he and his family the best.

I hope the people that left the KWPN will continue to be accessible for communicating with breeders as they are quite knowledgable people.

Our Stud Book had a very good relationship with the KWPN for nearly 20 years. They helped us put together our studbook guidelines and graded our stallions mares and youngstock. Jaques frequently graded our horses but things started to fall apart when J Knaap came to power and when we didn't bow down and meet his demand of signing over our studbook as a daughter studbook to the KWPN the door was firmly slammed shut in our face and very much confirm that the above quote is an accurate one.

How is one appointed as Director of the KWPN?
