We have moved to Aiken within the past year from MD, and have MSB bay mare, approx. 16.2-17 h free to good home. She is by Wertherson, bay, nicely made, nice produce. After the 14 hr trip and other mismanagements, the mare lost her foal. She is older, obviously, and has to have fastidious attention ( eg regular regumate for one) to maintain a pregnancy. In all the ub-bub of the move the care didn't happen. Now we're in the process of building a farm, my husbnad and I both are working full time jobs, have 2 kids and I am aware we don't have the time to manage this mare correctly. Also, our knowledge base of breeding is certainly not the " be all and end all" so someone else may be able to do better w/ her. She would be free to a good home, of course.
