Hi again,
I am once again hunting for some opinions and advice.
So, my OTTB has always carried his tail straight out away from his body. When he was younger, like 7-8 it was about 4-6 inches away. Now at 19 he carries it much further out almost a foot It is not up like an Arab although people have mistaken him in the past becasue of it. ;-). See the link below. Pretty typical for him. If he is stiff and cold it is like half of his tail is out!
Just to clarify, he is SOUND as a dollar. He usually works 6 days a week for about an hour. We jump 2 -3 times a week but only 10-15 minutes at a time. He is not supplements or injections. Never needed them. Simple snaffle. I train with a master dressage trainer usually once a week who does not think it is a big deal. We go on trail when I get a chance. He goes out every day from 4-6 hours in a dirt paddock solo. What you see in the picture is what I ride in every day. Minus the monkey suit on me ;-)
Anyway, I am not really concerned. It has gotten worse as he has gotten older. It is just something I am not familiar with.
Thank again in advance.
Chris
