I kind of blacked out and ordered a Rambo Duo for my OTTb who I moved from Utah to Minnesota last month (300 g liner). Please tell me I'm going to love it or hate it before I can't return it.
Thanks

I just bought one yesterday for my new filly, it went on her tonight for the first time. I'm a little skeptical about it all staying together, but as it went on, it seemed like the liner should be OK. I'd be interested to hear what others say too. It's a pretty blanket, at least until the filly rolls in the mud tonight!

The neck that goes with the body that fits my mare is too tight for her. You can't buy the neck seperatly so I can't get one. :(

I have the duo for one of my horses and it has done great. I like being able to use the outer blanket alone or with different liners (I have the 100g and 200g -- it just doesn't get that cold here), and with or without hood as needed. It is nice to be able to wash the pieces separately too. When my horse got a ringworm patch on him (ewww!! darn BO's dog was the source...), I was bleaching everything, but you aren't supposed to use bleach on waterproof blankets -- but since the liners were separate, I could do them to be sure to kill the nasties.
The only problem I've had is because the liner closes separately at the chest (you will see what I mean when you get it), that confuses the barn staff sometimes. I have found my horse with the liner not closed in front, just hanging and the outer blanket closed. I wish they had integrated things a little better so it all just closed as one somehow. But that is my only complaint. Oh - and someone mentioned once how nice it would be if the liners were color coded or something so you could more easily tell them apart. That would have been nice too, but I make do with tags.

I agree, hard to tell the liners apart without tags. I LOVE the liners. You can throw them in the wash and dryer (I wash with Lysol if I'm having a skin infection problem).
I use the liners under other brands of blankets also.

I have two and love them. My first I've had for three years and I bought another one last year so that I can switch them up and wash them more frequently. I haven't bought the different weight liners and have just used the one that came with the blanket when purchased but I love that I can have the option of many various weights in one blanket.

Wanted to mention too that I have the Rambo California blanket and neck cover -- got them for really cheap sometime online and was pleased to find when it arrived that it is made just like the Duo, just in brown. So I can use the Duo liners with it, making it really versatile. I've also taken an old Rambo stable blanket that I had around, took off the surcingles, added velcro to the front, and voila - a new liner.
