Our little rescue paint we have rehabbed is in need of his forever home. He is an older guy, between 17-19, but fat, sound and healthy. He is slow, does not work hard anymore, but does great on the trail and would be a gentle companion to another horse and something you could walk down the trail on. We would really like to find him a home this week.

If he could be gotten to Ky, he sounds like the perfect Hubby horse. My dh LOVES paints, is a competent, gentle beginner who really only wants to poke along the trails on his very own quiet (paint :p) horse. I have two horses, but Princess is too hot for him, and Blue, while very forgiving is too (at 16hh) big for him to feel comfortable on.
Any chance of getting him up this way?

I would be open to getting him to you, but don't know how. he would probably enjoy the cooler winters :D.
Is anyone going that way? maybe he can hitch a ride.
