I need to get my horse a new sleazy but have always had issues where either they don't stay over the withers or are too big around the nose and get in their eyes.

I like the ones with a center yoke, Velcro on the nose, and don't care if it has a zipper or not.

My horse is 17h and long, so any good sugesstions will be appreciated.

I've had good luck with the Sleazy Sleepwear brand hoods- They are well made and seem to wear well. The nose has fleece and velcro so it can be adjusted, and they are easy to put on and take off even without a zipper.

A ditto on Denise's hoods.

I have one and love it. She's easy to discuss ideas with and makes custom things for (I think) a very reasonable price.

Good for you, for trying to find a well-fitting hood for your horse. I've seen SO MANY horses wearing poor fitting lycra hoods/sleazies, it drives me insane. The material is cutting into their face, it shifts so its over their eyes, etc. That would be so uncomfortable, not to mention dangerous with the eyes getting covered!
