My son does not want an ipod but I'd like to get him an mp3 music player that works with Windows. Any recommendations? He uses RealPlayer on his computer to listen to his music. I don't care about video, just music.

I have an older model SanDisk MP3 player and love it. I loved it so much I bought two. I think all the SanDisks also have an FM tuner and now I hear some of the newer IPODs have copied that. Also, the newer SanDisk MP3 player now look more like IPODs. I like the style of mine.

Anyway, here is the model I have.

I second the SanDisk. I have this one, it's reasonably priced and has a built in speaker for use with or without headphones.

A Zune! It's made my Microsoft and works with Windows flawlessly. However, the software will not run on a mac. Anyway, I love it because mine was virtually indestructible- I used it at the barn all the time, and I'm always dropping things. :( I bought one when they first came out and still have it. Can't say that for any iPod I've ever had, they usually expire after a year or so.
It's equivalent to the iPod in space, has the same audio/video capability and comes with radio, which I loved. Its about the same price also, or a little cheaper.
