Cleaning question (about a slate floor)

Ok, so we spilled some of that powdered stuff to refresh carpets (or the litter box) on the slate floor in the laundry room. It became like a glaze or film on the floor and nothing seems to remove it! I've tried soapy water (Dawn dishwashing liquid), vinegar and water, bathroom cleaner, powdered cleanser (Ajax), spray cleaners, stone floor cleaner. Nothing seems to faze it. Any suggestions? I did call the company and some of those were their suggestions. This stuff is like glue on the slate!

Goop Off (Or is it Goof?)

Or even a little gasoline on a rag.

Rinse off when done.

You can get a stripper from Home Depot....yellow bottle....Tile Lab or something. It will also take off the sealant though and you will have to re-treat.

I love the look of slate, did a wet-room/shower all in dark slate, looks great but man, it is a serious PITA to maintain.
