I was all excited to take a time out from college for the next few days, I even had a Disney marathon planned and some trashy novels lined up. And then I find out that I have to have a prospectus for my undergrad honors research by Monday. Did I mention we just decided what we were going to do this past Monday? *sigh* I spent all today reading papers so I have an idea of what I'm talking about and I'll spend the next few days playing edit-tag with my postdoc mentor. Guess Mulan will have to wait
Anyone else care to bemoan working during holidays?

Yes! The web project that was supposed to be done Nov. 2 is now due...Monday-ish? maybe? Which means I have to do testing throughout the day tomorrow (sitting in the office at my in-law's with my laptop, being anti-social?), run it by the client Friday (while driving for five hours on the interstate?) and fight them on their inevitable revisions ("ooh, what if that button was bigger, and orange, and on the left instead of the right?"). Then Monday will be launch day, except we'll still be doing revisions. And then their legal department will stall it til Thursday while they argue about the fine print.
Sigh. One of these days I'd like to just go riding or something.

I feel you. I have a term paper that's due on Tuesday (the first time the class meets after we get back on Monday). And it's not going to write itself, to say the least.

Right there with you guys
I have 37 pages of reports due next week. THIRTY SEVEN. And these aren't english papers that I can fluff- they're business documents.
I'm taking today off, and spending the rest of the weekend busting my ass. 'Course, our home library is closed, so I 'm having to work at home with my family and dogs running around.
Woe to a college senior
