Am about to order Lister Star Clippers. See it comes with a "fine" blade. I still need to use a medium blade for bodyclipping, right? (Wasn't sure if their fine equals other medium blades).
Any suggestions on best source (pricewise) for the medium blade?
Thanks

I dunno, opinions abound on this--I have always used the blades that came with them (fine) for bodyclipping and haven't scalped one yet. :) I've found them at fair prices at Valley Vet, Jeffers, etc.

It depends on how you like your clip jobs. Medium blends perfectly with my 8 blades, while fine cuts deeper than my 10 blades. Thatls just too short for me, but I know people who prefer a 10 blade for body clipping, so fine works for them.

omg, i asked the SAME EXACT question on another board.
most people told me that they did theirs with the fine blade.
but i found out that the fine blade is like a #15 and the medium is like a #9 since most ppl body clip with a #10. i would get a medium..
of course it was too late for me and i did it with the fine. it looks okay, but i would have liked a little more hair on.
so next time i''m clipping with the medium blade.
also the older lister stars actually came with the medium blade. now they come with the fine.

I use fine blade. I personally like the closer cut...hopefully won't have to body clip again! Sadly thats usually not the case. Anyways within a week he grows back a little bit of hair and looks great!:D
