I always thought someone didn't know how to spell the spanish word for omelettes, "tortillas" and that was an approximation.

Many, many, many years ago, if you went to an international philosophy conference, everyone spoke to each other in latin, if they didn't have a common language.
The trouble is that, no having any true latin speakers left for a few centuries, no one knows how to pronounce it any more.
In the end, some of the talks were very interesting because of that, as much as what was being discussed.;)
I agree, we need to learn to pronounce the name of a horse the way the owner of the horse prefers, not all the odd ways each one of us may want to guess at that.
I watched some videos and he is an absolutely amazing horse, looks like he is on springs, has the most consisten and correct "swung" (don't know the English name) I have ever seen.
I don't care for quite so much front end movement, but that is a personal preference and doesn't distract from the tremendous way he can move otherwise.
I wonder if his foals will inherit that, or if it is a once in a lifetime happening, where all came together in this unique way.
Glad that the judges like him.
