I've been fostering a 13 yo TB for over year now to be a companion for my horse. My husband lost his job in May and still hasn't found work We now have come to realize that we can no longer keep our horse, he is a dark bay TWH 6 yo. If I let the TB go back to the rescue they will put her down due to overcrowding. They have listed as companion only but I was advised that with a small person and lite riding she could be worked with maybe. I live outside Knoxville TN and if anyone could save her life I would really be grateful. She has no adoption fee and I have been trying to get the tattoo off her lip but its really hard to make it out. Does anyone have any suggestions for me to try to use Thanks

It has been reputed that a black light helps but I do not know where to acquire said black light unless a vet has one that you can borrow. Some people have photoshopped them. If you can get some of the numbers, and can write down a good description of the horse, the Jockey Club will try and help you over the phone, the new service offered for rescue horses. Does the rescue have any clues? In any case, I would try the JC and good luck. It is so difficult these days. It might be a good idea to describe the horses a bit more, size, temperament, how she handles for the vet, farrier, crossties, trailering, etc. All will help to personalize the animal and give some kind of visual image. If you have pics to email, also mention that.

Also, put the city and state in your title.
