Spin-off: Strongid C 2X- Bad for dogs?

So until a recent thread, I had no idea the Ivermectin horse wormer could be so toxic to dogs.

Now I'm wondering about the Strongid C 2X horse wormer I feed every day. My dog likes to help me by cleaning up any stray feed that gets spilled, and he may pick up a couple of random Strongid pellets in the process.

Does anyone know if the Strongid can be as dangerous for dogs as the Ivermectin wormer?

No worries. Daily Strongid is pyrantel tartrate, which has a wide margin of safety in (AFAIK) all species. Unlike ivermectin, it is not absorbed systemically, meaning the drug pretty much stays in the GI tract.
